Worship in times of COVID

I focused on fear as the crime of the third slave and a barrier to the risk taking we need to do. Today was stewardship Sunday and I identified the stewardship of taking risks as an important task.

Guest speaker spoke on the oil bearing virgins ... took me back to the roman version of the Vestal Virgins that were confined to the Roman Way of thinking ... mostly about what could be extracted from the neighbours for nothing ...

A friend & I have been regulars online with Hillhurst in Calgary. We took them up on the Jerusulema dance challenge which was issued a couple of weeks ago - I was thinking we'd just quietly learn the dance on our own, at our own pace - but she wanted to submit a video as invited - I hadn't known about that! So it was a scurry, but we did it! And a piece of it was included in the compilation shown at the end of worship this morning. We had a lot of fun doing it - although neither of us are anything close to 'dancers' LOL! It was a big stretch outside of my comfort zone for sure - but that's what life's about eh?

Do we get to see the proof?

The Jerusalema section starts at about minute 47 - we're the "women in black". Thw whole service is worth watching tho. Some of you might also like to tune into the skit with God speaking to angel Gabriel about visiting Mary - starts at about minute 36.45. Merry Christmas!
