We got an advertising flyer with a Christmas theme in the mail yesterday. Party dresses, high end gift ideas and so on. You would think they could wait until after Halloween at least.

There are types of people that cannot wait for anything due to commercialized tense ... Him patience ... Dicks?

Does the Christmas Candle ever burn out? It is free for interpretation ... given a few pho's and foof's ...

Let us gather at the Tun for some froth ... without a mean Scot few understand what a Ton, or Don is ... thus Adonis gone free ... it's a given, near nothing! And first thing you know they were into it ...

First some knowledge of alien linguistics is required ... the Gael goes way back as WO Mitchell hinted at on who saw the wind as breeze in the head ... it slipped up in the night of sole ... verily fishy and below the visible horizon ... yous ae? or Ju' Ci? Tongue lashings ... may require Jaw bone of one of those things opposing Jack ... Jenny? Make no Eire ... your mind was a prior gift ... like bagged talent ... pearl in the dark?

My Costco put Halloween and Christmas stuff out around the same time, at least as far as decorations. I can sort of see putting outdoor decorations early since it's best to get them up before the white stuff starts flying but I actually find it kind of disheartening. To be honest, even the US Black Friday (mid-November usually) would be early enough for most Christmas stuff.

Recovering nicely and started working again today. Will work remote this week and look at return to office next.

Ski chalet here already has 2 trees up

Going to try to see my whole area light up for Halloween

Never tried that before

There are 2 adult grizz here. Last time I was this close was when I was being stalked. They have been here for 2 decades? They were teeny cubs then

Now they are majestic beautiful and super cuddly bear People

Only 12 trick or treaters here. But all very cute. One little girl, under 2 I bet, kept blowing me kisses!
The colonoscopy was horrible...The iv didn't go in right so I got no meds to dim my wits; I knew and felt everything. And they couldn't complete it because something is twisted, so now I'll have to have an CT scan and go through the whole prep thing again. My brother-in-law found cancer from his colonoscopy two weeks ago and they are moving fast...had surgery, and will have chemo soon. He owns his own shoe store and my daughter-in-law works there a couple of days a week. I will offer to babysit more for her so she can go in and work more. As we age...life becomes even more of a juggling act.

I have never seen a grizzly in the wild. Had a close encounter (non-fatal for both of us) with a small black bear this summer but even those I have normally only seen from a distance.
This is them

Magnificent people

Got some shots and vids as well :3

Grinder was just sitting and chilling, legs out in front of him, looking at us all and then sometime later chocolate Coola came up and again just chillin and fleming, checkin us out

They are in their Winter Dacha

Their Summer Dacha is much bigger, with a pond, a bit of forest areas and such...

Really friendly staff as well

Could have suntanned today

Oh yikes Nancy, that sounds awful. Hope you get the good IV starter next time!

I'm exhausted. Glad we did one last candy run late last week - a bit over 300 kids this year.
Definitely a big increase since COVID, but even from last year this is a jump.

The traffic seemed worse too, Chemguy was packing up while I was still handing out we probably made it inside by 8:45 and the traffic was still backed up on our street.

I went to check out decorations one last time on Sunday - the street that decorates quite well was fairly busy, especially as I ventured out late tying to avoid crowds but didn't want to go too late as people do shut things off. Non-stop line of cars and lots of pedestrians. 9 pm there were still people dressed up in costumes just for fun to jump out at people - not what I expected for a Sunday night on the 29th.

Unless it's much colder, I might reassess what I hand out next year. the not enough - 6 boxes of chips, on sale adds up on it's own without the chocolate and candy too.

We have had 21 degrees ob Saturday, so nobody has their winter tires on. Now we are getting 10-15 cm of snow and messy weather in the next 24 hours. I am lucky that I could take my tires to junior who put them on last night. Missed out on potential trick or treaters- but there weren’t any by 6.30- and we never get more than 10 anyway.
I heard that chocolates are so much more expensive this year ( I usually get non-candy from $rama- stickers and pencils, so I can use them next year.
I don’t think I would put up with supplying 300 kids @ChemGal .

Mr Paradox picked up the treats so I am not sure if they were more expensive this year. But I noticed they were smaller in size. Same box and number of treats as last year. Very sneaky!

Good morning! As the Halloween rush and trick-or-treat is done, and the Holiday Rush begins, as we ponder grizzlies and colonoscopies, and weather and snow tires, and all the other stuff that arises, we bring it to the Coffee Cart, where there is conversation and support and hot beverages. The Room is open, nice and cozy (It's snowing here at the moment) come on in and join in!

Woke up to snow. Nov. 1 is early but not unprecedented. Streets look clear, at least, but trees, roofs, lawns are white.

Oh well, I am working from home this week so it doesn't really matter to me.

Oh, and happy All Saints Day too, for those who celebrate it.

There's a Rumohr that some do it with a blast ... so they see fireworks in their tete ...

That's the head mon ... better if 2 put together ... lovely tete a tete? People today prefer head-banging activity ...
