@Nancy that sounds terrible. I hope things go better for you next time and that results are good. Hugs to you and your family.

We were quiet last night. There was talk on our community FB group that there would be some trick or treaters in the park. I'm not sure whether that happened. It's very dark here and most families take their kids to a nearby neighbourhood.

Yesterday was the last sunny day for a bit. The rain is back. Maybe I'll finish the good book I'm reading today.

Still snowing here, though it's now warm enough that it's not sticking as much and some of the overnight fall has melted. Feels more like Dec. 1, though. Oh well, it had to happen sooner or later.

Haha...son made it on 22 Minutes with giant pumpkin...Their take was that this was the length someone would go to to escape Sault Ste. Marie!
Well, that's cool. I watched part of a recent episode and, dang, I dont know anyone on there any more. Mark Critch was in the credits but I take it he's not a regular, just doing a feature or something? Because he never appeared in any sketches for the part I watched.

I'm sorry your ColonQuest turned out so wonky

Your son should more than make up for it

FAME!!!

Did he inherit your 'stache? :3

We have had 21 degrees ob Saturday, so nobody has their winter tires on. Now we are getting 10-15 cm of snow and messy weather in the next 24 hours. I am lucky that I could take my tires to junior who put them on last night. Missed out on potential trick or treaters- but there weren’t any by 6.30- and we never get more than 10 anyway.
I heard that chocolates are so much more expensive this year ( I usually get non-candy from $rama- stickers and pencils, so I can use them next year.
I don’t think I would put up with supplying 300 kids @ChemGal .
From the busy street one house counted 2862 so I can't complain too much about 300.
I do have some pencils/erasers/halloween rings too, but it's mostly candy & chips that I give out.
I didn't look out for traffic once I went in for the night but it was still on our street close to 10 pm before everyone was able to get out according to a neighbour.

Good morning! Looks like the autumn is really here, in this area complete with snowfall. There were 'travel advisories' issued here. AS we review Halloween activities, celebrate 22 Minutes report on pumpkin boating, and all the weather, let us gather in peace round about the Coffee Cart, for conversation and support, and for virtual hot beverages of all sorts. All are welcome, come in and join in.

Remember with candy, etc. get as much as you can to assist the production industry ... regardless of what the additives do to your well being ... it is a sign for your children and grandchildren passed along in avarice ... lacking in sapiens ... thus the real being goes ...

Did you know that sapiens once meant wisdom ... and that too disperses ... where? That's dark too ... imagine!

And yet many claim to be the most intelligent when they are not really down there digging ... for answers! Floaters ... life is not what it incarnates as ... appearances? One wonders about what appears not ... being nothing ... omahg ogue it could creep us out ... iconic warping? It is a sign ...

I had no children. Kept the outside light off, and pre-treated the only two children I know on the street - the two littles across the road. They get a large chocolate bar each.

Phew what a morning. I had to cancel my dentist appointment for next week so got a cancelled for this morning......at 0800 hrs. I decided that since I was out and about I'd try to get my bloodwork done. I was able to get it done.

Now I'm home with my feet up. And with coffee.

One of my uncs had some 2000 kids lol I have never experienced that

And in an area that is mostly wilderness

And even tho some cities have banned fun, some people engaged in fun :3

Interesting fact I learned from my Korean neighbour kids- people in Korea don’t have ovens- so they don’t bake cookies. Now I have decided they need to make some German Christmas cookies with me in Advent.
They also do not have special food on Christmas, they said. Gifts would be a card for the parents that says “ thank you”.

Good morning! The weekend is at hand. As we find out about how many trick-or-treaters went where, and how they were treated, as we learn how other cultures observe (or don't observe) our holidays, as we go through the day getting errands done, as all the other stuff arises, let us join in spirit round the Coffee Cart in the Room, for chat and support, and for virtual hot drinks of all kinds. All is ready, come and get it!

Recall that gifts of cookies always generate minor crumbs for further consideration! On your AL they can be like thieves in the night dark forces that require further efforts of understanding ... while the leaders say we don't need to know that stuff ... it could diminish their end game ...

Thus lack of understanding and huge voids ... degradation of the former gift of passion for knowledge ... thus the spark goes out ... ousted not hosted!

Good morning! Hope the weekend is going well for each of you. The coffee is fresh, tea water near to a boil. The Room is comfy and cozy. Come join round the Coffee Cart, and share the conversation, support, and hot beverages. All is ready.
