My spouse and I, along with friends, are headed to a local restaurant for dinner and the band Poverty's Arse. Haven't been to an event like this for a while. Should be fun.
Then tomorrow through sunday have our granddaughters.
I've been spending a lot of time on line and watching tv/news. will be good to be out & social

I woke up last night at 3am to watch the lunar eclipse blood moon and OMG, what a beautiful event.....A perfectly clear night and it was magnificent! One of the most wonderful things to witness that you will see with the naked eye (no special glasses).
I have to say, for me anyway, it topped a solar eclipse easily!
Anyone else get up to watch?

What a week! I barely had a moment to myself. I'm so glad that I've given up the church secretary job. My sister had knee replacement surgery (daily visits to see her), and my mom had a few outings that I was involved in. Plus the usual...book club, Bible study, choir, babysitting. My patience with Mom has been of the ebb and flow variety, and not the best yesterday when I took her for an eye appointment. But the outing the day before was fun. The activity coordinator wanted me to accompany Mom on an outing to the casino...out for lunch, and then some gambling. Which Mom wouldn't understand, but I figure we were on a level playing field as I don't understand slot machines either. So, after lunch and the zillion repetitive questions, I took mom for a walk around the casino for exercise. Then we each put $20 in two side-by-side machines. Mom is lucky. Always has been. Well....she ended up winning $80! And I won $160!!!! It was a shock to me. So, I bought supper for my husband and me last night...said it was compliments of my gambling.

Wasn't even aware there was to be one :D

My former 94 yr old neighbour has been in the hospital since last week. Started with a UTI which turned into sepsis. He has been bed bound for about a year now. By Monday he was considered palliative. I checked on him most days and he didn’t respond to me, very much looking like he won’t make it 24 more hours. The last three days, he opened his eyes when his wife came, yesterday, when she came, he requested ice cream and something to drink! Today, he was sitting up eating breakfast. He literally came back from the “almost” dead. I suppose it wasn’t his time.

Hoosht!
Me: two margaritas
Him: 4 beer when I met him at the restaurant
Us: wide ranging convo from Oedepus Rex thru Wittgenstein thru Communism, mental health, manual transmission, driving into creek beds oh my!

First time: a man bought my drinks. What a gentleman as well. A hug goodnight.

This town is awesome

Various snow events today

Some durijng sunny moments
Others erased one of our mountains

A gf and I finished watching Celebrity Bear Hunt. It was such a blast. Finally a realityn show where people aren't backstabbing jerks, but there was fri3ndship, lots.of hugs, smiles, even good emotional intelligence (the one guy who got pouty eventually understood what people were trying to tell him aboot his pouty behaviour...)

Never a dull.moment. Good editing. Bear being funnily dramatic. And a fun hostess, Holly.

All filmed in Costa Rica. In a strangely Dry part.

So nice to see Scary Spice again

Good morning! Medical treatments that took [lace, dinner with friends and a concert, a good time with Mom at the casino, neighbours in hospital, and a lunar eclipse with red moon, plus the things that come up today; we bring it all with us to the Coffee Cart, for conversations, over coffee, tea, and muffins. Coffee is fresh brewed, tea water at the boil, muffins warmed nicely. All is ready, all are welcome. Come join the conversations!

Thunder and lightning, very very frightening.

Good morning! First thunderstorm of 2025 is under way where I am, kicking off a wet weekend, or so the Special Weather Statement says. Good day to hunker down and stay dry.

Medical treatments with [lace} ... good that was sowe dup ... the old sow? Its a kohl star ... in the north! Ur Sah ...

The argument breaks out as to what end is the head ... and all head south for the winter? The movement is cur tailed ... like a dog down there ...

A jot in heis tory ... jag?

Jag is an interesting word to etude ... ranging from outcroppings and hang-up to periods of emotional disruption ... it goes on from there as a start ...

No phun with the hard right input ... thus great exponential eliminations ... pied! Roue Elle Flush, ruse ?

It may be the sound of water ...

Good news, indeed. Hope the new treatment plan continues to go well.

I was rather out of sorts this morning but went out for lunch with my beloved and felt better in the afternoon. Not coincidentally (I think), the weather improved by early afternoon. Unsettled weather seems to be poison for my mood and may be a trigger for my headaches, too.

I used to get really bad headaches on bright sunny, blue blue sky days. It didn’t seem fair!
Am happy to hear you say "used to." Back then, I'd have trade with you if you'd be interested. On bright sunny, blue blue sky days I tend to get epileptic seizures

Good morning! Thunderstorms, treatments that go well, bright, sunny days that bring headaches; for these and other thoughts and events that this day brings our way, we gather in spirit round the Coffee Table, for conversation, support, and camaraderie. We partake of coffee and tea, and this morning,, we have a wide selection of doughnuts for your enjoyment. Coffee is freshbrewed, tea water at the boiling point, and doughnuts are still warm from the bakery. Come in when you can, have a cup or mug, indulge in a doughnut, and join the conversations! All is ready, all are welcome.
