I've skied a lot of moguls for a racer, but no inverts. I've done 360s, and going backwards briefly is enough of a mindfuck. Being upside down is out of the question.

And one cannot think of this little Heron doing something so frightening. I am small, and tend to the "weak but tough" percentile generally. I can totally deal with an upside down kayak in water as long as my glasses are firmly attached or i'm not wearing them. I have shapes and colours, sort of.

Watching some Canada Cup moguls at our club today. This is just the warm-ups. These guys are insane.

Aw Goddess yes
Seeing people in the zone
Real freedom

There was a knack for moguls with me
I had to learn to not overthink
Just pick the line at the beginning and go
If things were right, my body would take over
More than often my mind would try to take over, give in to anxiety or fear or even "how am i doing this?"
Which would break my run

Really neat getting to experience that

And the total freedom of being on a run
Just being
No fear
Worries
Anxieties

I never did accomplish one of the things my mom did ; go off an actual olympic ski jump. Which she did accidentally. She was committed and had to do it. Which she apparently did very well

Still have good memories
Of learning how to downhill
With my teeny skis
Being held between my parents legs
As we criss cross the Cut in Grouse Mt
Which has an amazing view of the Lower Mainland

I miss those days

Some of the skiing events do look like a lot of fun. I don't know if I've ever had the actual guts to do some of that though.

We enjoyed a nice dinner out with long time friends. I will get treatment tomorrow, so it's kind of like a last supper for now. I enjoyed some wine because I won't want some tomorrow for sure. I hope tomorrow's treatment goes as well as it did last week. Yes, my bloodwork was good enough.

Good morning! For helmets-- skiing, biking and otherwise, for skiing moves, for dinners with friends treatments today, and all the other stuff that will come up, we are here at the Coffee Cart to help discuss and support, advise and listen. The coffee is fresh perked, tea water near to a boil, and squares and brownies (no 'special' brownies, alas) are nice and warm from the bakery. All are welcome, all is ready, come in when you can and join the conversations!

Mark that down as the text commanded ... after the matt was thrown in ... before Looque and John! Observe it ...

Why the mystery provided a spark based on DMAPP and not meant to be abused ... but due to avarice ... stuff fails me ...

Yah have to give it up in the ends ...

Your longing touches my heart, Luce. I'm drawn to the beauty in your reflection.

Let's not be disheartened, Luce. For in Christ, there's always renewal. His grace remains sufficient, and his light never fades. We're reminded to trust, laying aside greed, so that we fully embrace the mystery of his love.

Let's mark down this moment as an invitation, Luce. A call to reflect deeply. God's presence is constant, guiding us ever closer to his heart

I'm not disheartened ... my dad once told me (passed down through time) that the mores have no heart ... just sacred intellect that the heartened learn to hate ... as upstanding as Migdal ... a towering inferno ... Harper Lee wrote about the underlying condition of oppression ... inflammation spreads ...

Both heart and mind, Luce, are meant to bring us closer to God.

The "mores" you mention are devoid of heart. Yet, I believe God calls us to infuse intellect with grace. Jesus himself demonstrated both. He was a teacher of wisdom who also wept with those who mourned.

The imagery of the "towering inferno" and "inflammation spreading" evokes oppression, a reality Lee so powerfully illustrated. We are called to be peacemakers. It's our sacred duty to love our neighbour

Like Jane Eyre on the open moor ... prone to going down ... inflammation? The destination of peat in some visions ... or guano in others ... together great for gardening with some dirt ... polyphosphate? Sparingly ... as part of homeopathy ... a wide spread gathering! Gentile extraction as when cleaning out the stalls ...

There is potentially a myth buried sacredly there that has Mystic upset ... as he is lacking astuteness on the matter ... the WOKE enigma ... paradoxical as many are ... split hares? Hared ... tack ... served on Patties day with cabbage, etc. Dunkin bred with corned beef? In NFLD that's served under another name ... some are hooked on the jig 'ns ... if transcending the "J" "H" and omega you get no way with Higgs ... why? Mores to pyre into ...d' watts! Discharges ...

"Jane Eyre on the moor" brings to mind hope, Luce. Life is out there in the open.

Your mention of peat, guano, and gardening speaks to the idea of transformation. What starts as decay becomes a source of growth. It’s a good reminder that even the “messes” in our lives turn into something fruitful.

Christ steps into our mess, washes us clean, and invites us to walk in newness of life. There’s something beautifully symbolic in the process of renewal

Remember the hounds ... they may haunt ...

Good morning. It seems to be starting off cloudy. I'm not sure what today will bring. It seems to me rain is in the forecast. We had some sunshine yesterday for a bit to motivate us.

My bloodwork was good yesterday so treatment happens today. My appointment isn't until 3 or so this afternoon. I'm not sure what's on the agenda before then. It might include driving husband to the Dodge dealer to pick up the truck. Something was going on with the DEF indicator. They did a thorough check and think it's the DEF pump (I think). They've been waiting for the part to come in. If it has come in and the truck fixed, we'll go get it. It won't be a cheap repair......

There's a quiet assurance I’ve found, Luce. Unlike hounds, God's love chases to restore and gather.

God meets us in the stillness, offering rest from what haunts. I pray you find solace in leaning into the unrelenting grace of Christ, Luce. Blessings on you and your journey today and always
