Waking up to a couple of centimetres of snow. Might wait until the afternoon to see if it will be gone when I come home. Day off tomorrow for Christmas shopping in Halifax. Hope that middle of the week will not be as bad yet.

Good morning! As the holidays draw closer, and winter weather seems to take over, let us remember that the cold weather cannot chill the warmth of the Room and the Coffee Cart. Let us gather in spirit round the Cart in conversation and support and friendship. Coffee's ready, tea is available, hot chocolate packets also here. Come on in and join in!

If holidays prime us for relief from stress ... does this really happen or is it just another abstract thing in our heads? Imagine the cranks that drive Christmas!

O' Lor Dei ... like deer in a valley running the stage to a high place where the hounds die ... resemble something else in the Dural folds? Tough matter ...

Like rebirth is a thorny issue if something is lost in a dark place ... that's mortal soul theory on the heat of the dark night! What comes down the chimney must rise again ... as hot Eire than before?

We have just been blessed with a foot of snow and wicked driving conditions. Enjoy!
The cold dip is actually short lived. Just a taste for now I guess! It's still great weather for putting up lights into next week - although ours were done. Chemguy tries to avoid procrastinating when we have good weather in early November.

hah, my day has been just delightful as well.

Struggling with a work situation
Pulled in multiple directions regarding family needs here & away

On the plus side, i think, despite a project from hell, i and my teammate have been offered an extension. The question is, do i really want it.

My life feels pleasantly calm, and honestly, my relationship is helping this. It's been a long time since I have not been totally responsible for stuff happening, and I love the way it feels more like a choice, and less like a responsibility.

Jayne, hugs, the further away I get from decisions and deadlines, the more attractive scanning groceries for my friends and neighbours becomes, lol.

Lead singer of the Pogues died yesterday, only 65. I hate getting to this, "oh s**t it could be me next" stage, lol.

I had a day of errands and dog washing. Our new phones arrived at my sister's (our official address) yesterday and we're going there tomorrow for a visit and to pick them up. I bought cases for them today. I also had a couple of other items to pick up in various places so I had a nice tour of the city. One item is for my secret Santa gift. :)

We've had this dog for three years and have never given her a bath. I took her to Bosley's (part of Pet Valu) to give bathe her. She was not thrilled. She does smell and look better now.

i liked your post, then laughed at the dog comment.

I am thankful to have a new credit card.
A sign of life this last month, is that i misplaced one credit card (but was nicely returned by someone), and lost another credit card. I have a sense it is in my car "somewhere". The credit card that i lost was the same one that was compromised and had been replaced, so, I once again busy updating automatic payments.

Just frustrating as getting "overdue payment" reminders. Don't like that.

Argh. New credit cards can cause more work than necessary. I hope you get things sorted out smoothly Jayne.

I'm thankful for good customer service folks. Our local grocery store chain was bought out by the Pattison group so the loyalty cards changed. I already had a card from the Pattison chain so I tried to merge the two online. I inadvertently created a new card which meant I had two cards. I tried to get help online. No luck. Then I went into the store on Tuesday and tried to get it sorted out in person. Remember that I commented that I had several occasions on Tuesday where it felt like I was speaking Greek or something. The in person clerk was incapable of listening. She also seemed to be an idiot. She told me that what I was saying was impossible. I explained what happened several times. She didn't get it. Argh. I was already perilously close to cranky so decided to leave before I blasted her inappropriately. I told her I would sort it out. Well I found the "help" button on the website and got an automated response saying someone would respond to my question in x number of business days. I got an email today that asked me to phone. The customer service person was wonderful. She also said a lot of people were having problems switching over the cards. How validating! It was sorted out without incident. Yay!

I also got a Telus mobility bill that was about $500 more than I expected. Their customer service wasn't as smooth. They did help me and hopefully got it sorted out. It was a computer doing what computers do. It needed human intervention.

I now realize why I'm tired tonight. :)

When I had Telus for the longest time my bill was too much by the same amount every month so Telus and I got to know each other well

(i much prefer talking to a human than otherwise...I might be changing from Koodo back to Telus for that reason)

Eventually the double billing stopped :3

I should clarify that my Telus bill was wonky because we upgraded our phones. It was a special deal and the computer did what it always did. It didn't apparently know about the deal.

Oh, talking about automatic services. I have a car loan with RBC, but no bank account with them. Wanted to check how much is left of it- no matter which phone number I called, it requested my bank card number and when I didn’t have one hung up on me. Had to go into a bank to see real person to get that info. Thankfully, there are still real people working in banks.

Though, the bank , which is a new built in the last couple of years, stoke me as rather unusual. There was one straight counter in the back, but then three random standing desks with computers in the room, six feet apart, with drawers that came out at the side with their “machines” on it. That’s where their service people were. Everything was very open and all I could think was if there was a robbery there would be no place to hide.Maybe I am watching too many crime stories.

The reality hits some people too late ... as they believe there are no ends to reality only the abstract.

I ask honestly; "what is abstract?" To which authorities look at me like ... with hollow faces!

Is life, or death the greatest of phobias? Split decisions ... divine! What will be your death?

To know something ruins some people's courses ...

Good morning! For credit card situations and clean dogs, cell phone bills and dealing with bank loans without a card from that bank, for all the other stuff that occurs, we gather round the Coffee Cart for chat and support and hot beverages. As we open a new month and close out this work week, let us pause for a few moments and join in the fun. All is ready, come and get it.

Information deduction???? They ran away with the data ... much of it odd! (if real folk were involved)
