Meuller acted like a drugged zombie. Pretty sure he didn’t write the report.

No, he acted like someone being incredibly careful not to get tripped up on a trick question or answer anything beyond his “perview”. He strikes me as someone who quietly goes about his work and may loathe public speaking and media attention (unlike Trump). I think he did state that putting the report together involved delegating tasks. He was the boss so he didn’t do it all singlehandedly. I wouldn’t expect him to. Even if he didn’t write it, it’s reflective of the work he and his team did, and he still signed off on it and stands by it. And even if he did do it all, he can’t memorize word for word, page for page, what he wrote about who said what. So he was very careful not to make a misstatements based on leading questions. He made it pretty clear that Trump was not exonerated for obstruction of justice - he said it was “correct” that Trump ordered McGhan to falsify documents and that Trump had asked McGhan to fire Mueller himself - but that criminal charges can be brought against a sitting president according to DOJ protocol, which he abided - it was not in his mandate but he also doesn’t believe Trump is above the law - but addressing the obstruction behaviours. So it’s now congresses’ job to impeach Trump. And once he is out of office he can be arrested.

It was boring. I fell asleep only 1/2- 1 hr into it and am catching up on key details...which are all in the report that he kept redirecting the questioners to. Mueller confirmed under oath that what is in the report is correct. He wouldn’t throw away his whole career - the man has brought down mafia kingpins - to lie about Trump.

Muller saw potential that PG13 could only imagine when dead to this world ... normality? Thus blind faith ... later one wakens when falling off the ladder Deis ...

B Johnson is going to make UK the greatest place on the earth ... what's the chance this will ire the POTUS of the occidental chewy to cause greatest gnawing? Could be a gummy situation ...

Here, then, are at least 10 reasons Trump would make a stellar president.
  1. Trump believes in American exceptionalism.
  2. Trump is tough, unafraid to flex America’s muscles, and has the backbone America needs to take on the evil growing around the world.
  3. Trump is an experienced and tough dealmaker.
  4. Trump is not politically correct; he’s not afraid to say what he believes and has ignited an honest debate.
  5. Trump demands high performance and will fire anyone that doesn’t meet his high standards.
  6. Trump is committed to education.
  7. Trump “built that business” and many more and will run America like a business.
  8. Trump will not balance his job as President with golf and other social events.
  9. Trump’s loyalty will be only to America and Americans—not any political party, special interest group or foreign entity.
  10. Trump will support American laws, the Constitution, and the nation’s borders.
Trump gets it.
Trumps understands the level of concern American’s have with the current direction of the country. America doesn’t just want change. American wants Oblimination – the complete reversal of President Obama’s failed policies.

You must be horribly disappointed that your idol has clay feet. and is quite likely the worst president that the USA has ever seen.

1. Americans are not exceptional.
2. Yet to be seen.
3. True.
4. Trump is rude, he doesn't debate and he is a habitual liar.
5. What high standards? Most of the people he has fired he was forced to do so my the public exposure of their misdeeds. Many are now either in jail or have charges pending. why did he hire such corrupt and/or unqualified people in the first place?
6. So he hired a totally unqualified Secretary of Education and was forced to close his fraudulent university'
7. He has a long history of bankruptcies plus a sad history of shorting his contractors and suppliers. He is running the nation into bankruptcy.
8. He has golfed more than any other president in history.
9. That is highly questionable.
10. That is just as questionable.

I am unaware of any failed Obama policies.

Um, JRT, that was posted by the late crazyheart who was no fan of The Donald. I would have to look back for context but I imagine she was posting that to provoke or further discussion.

I too, did not think that that sounded like Crazy heart.
I think that if somebody is quoting another person, especially from sometime back, they should give the entire context of the quote. At least give the parameters of where it can be found.
Crazy heart is not here to defend or explain her statement.

I doubt JRT meant to offend anybody. He doesn’t strike me as a callous person. He was just revisiting the original post questions - that happen to have been posted by CH and maybe he didn’t read or realize who posted it originally - because this thread has gone on for quite some time, and has meandered quite a bit. I have also responded to the content of posts with a neutral perspective about who put the original content there because I know nothing about them and my focus is on the topic that is being discussed...but it’s been quite some time because I am here nearly everyday and I know who all the regular posters are. JRT drops in from time to time, to engage in impersonal discussion about topics, and probably doesn’t keep track of the threads outside of religion and politics. He probably wasn’t here at Christmastime, when crazyheart passed away. For some of us, this is our little internet neighbourhood. For others it’s just a place to visit, to address a topic once in awhile.

Adding to the question: as a society devoted to irrational desires ... what do we really know as rational? Does that point to reason as a strange beast?

Informative. I hope that you are correct.

This one (from another thread), too,

This whole thing offends me. Trump has bashed the GLBTQ2 community

and even to day visas for Diplomats' same sex partners are being revoked.

And then he fell in love with Kim Jong Un. He uses what ever he needs

to score a point. Are people just ignoring his crazy statements. If not why are more

people not riled over his stupidity? Just wondering if I missed something.

Yes, it was an inside discussion, where it was needed to start a thread discussing a topic that was popping up like wildfire everywhere else.
