More signs of spring:
13 degree days
exploding golden forsythia
opening the window to look outside and brushing against a spider web

Double digit highs forecast for London for the next 1-2 weeks. If that forecast holds, my snows are comin' off. Doubt I'll need them anymore.

A dawg with things upright to assist the gather 'n of breaths? ET ihcs ... lost ho*eri Zoans ... ?

Gives me tit Eire sin wild spatial senses ... oude there in spatial sense ... as uNG?

He's not as fat as SOME bassets, but he is pudgy. And he's 8. And damn, those legs are f***ed up short.
My introduction to Bassets (besides the comic strip) was my old GP -- she used to take care of two, Pebbles & Mica, who would stay with her as she worked in her practice....they were sweet old girls -- they'd greet people with their low yelp, their tails wagging and they exacted their tribute -- loved endless scritches -- they were inseperable and one of their best friends was a little terrier who was very hyper and uber cute

aka The Hush Puppy dog...

Buster is not predictable in his reaction to anything. He's either really friendly and wants to lick it to death, or he gets quite excited and has a VERY loud reaction. He's a most unreliable doorbell.

We keep hitting double digits followed by more snow! Right now my garden boxes are snow free, not sure for how long though!

*sigh* The snow already happened actually. At least that explains why I have been particularly energetic today. I should find some warning app or something when it comes to weather changes.

Cro Cussi sit ... I recall a late theologian ... said he talked to cro's ... like Shadow's in High Flight ... haunting ...?

Ode to gnostic po' ET ics ... they can go anywhere ... and few will understand! Thus the author can think in piece ... like 2 phetches coming together ...

Just found out that this Feb was the warmest in 130 years
*george takei voice* Oh. My.
oh and on my last day, two nice & sedate oystercatchers let me film them
(for an image: just imagine a large sandpiper with a traffic-cone coloured beak)
made it past the border alright
lots of snow on the local mountains

It's finally sunny. The most springy day in awhile, for hopefully, awhile. I heard Ontario had shorts weather recently? Still? A little too cool for that here still, I think, unless you've moved here from Winnipeg.

We are having a very warm dry spring, although it's rained off and on for a couple of days now. It did hit 17 or something the other day. Snow is mainly gone; Star of Bethlehem have taken over front yard; no crocuses flowering yet.

On an unfortunate note, may be a very shortened maple syrup season. If the nights don't go below zero consistently, sap stops running.

Tis a sapient instance that lacks sweetness!

And in true Ontario fashion, there are flakes of snow drifting down this a.m. The mud field that is my back yard has a skiff of ice on it...

Yeah, looks like it is going to be a bit wintery again through this weekend. Low single digit highs and negative lows in the forecast for here. Local ski hill operator is probably kicking themselves for closing on Tuesday since they could probably make snow this weekend.

It will come. In the meantime, if I can find some peat pellets or something similar in the junk room (or the shed, actually, which is finally free of snow), tomato and pepper seeds will be started this weekend.
