Our bay froze over for the winter (till late March/early April anyway) last week. My daughter has been getting a fairly excellent amount of shovelling exercise.
can you still ride your horse? ;3

can you skate on your bay?

on the mainland this winter, there have been only a few moments of icy goodness -- my bro & i even went into the local lungs of the city (cue david suzuki narration) to search for ice -- we found some & lots & lotz of COLD WATER...he skated, i turned back with icy feet...

It drizzled here a few hours ago, here in the city - I missed it but I could tell because the ground, and handrails outside were wet. The sky is dark grey and looks like rain could burst out any moment. Maybe less so where you are @Inannawhimsey ...it didn't scream "spring day" to me today, although I may be slightly warmly dressed. I'd rather be overdressed than shivering, though. The damp can go right through to your bones. :)
i'm definitely in a different climate than you are
tonight it'll get colder

Hope those who have mild weather are enjoying it. Here it is -20C with a windchill of -26 - the sky is grey and covered in a blanket of dense cloud.

Yesterday was much the same, except we went shopping in the city. Some special sort of wood for hubby, a birthday gift for our littlest grand and fabric for me!

Well, compared to that, our -7 is balmy. That's what we had a year ago. Still, can't say I'm enjoying it much but my skier likes it.

Cherry blossoms are starting to come out already. And I saw a few daffodils yesterday. Must be all that rain. The sun came out for a few hours yesterday. We've had a pretty warm winter on the west coast.

Depends on the place you're at in time ...

Well, no, I wouldn't say a warm and sunny place in time...but the weather hasn't been overly cold. Gotta point out the good things as I see 'em. Stop and smell the roses...once they come out...and that sort of thing.

You mean like arresting reactions ... man's toppers like Bung ... the intoxicating Lass?

i note that you posted this at 11:11 -- a significant number -- an angel number -- a number associated with UFO activity or when universe is trying to get one's attention *cue theramin music*

Cherry blossoms in Feb -- here we go again for another scorching summer :3

my step gm showed me the minidaffydills in her yard yesterday

More signs of spring:
13 degree days
exploding golden forsythia
opening the window to look outside and brushing against a spider web

Wading through slush, trying to pick the least puddle-covered path for Buster the basset, who DOES NOT LIKE getting his wee-wee wet, never mind cold and wet, and he is damned close to the ground.
