Food in general. We spent quite a bit on candy for Halloween, I don't just hand out one small item per kid. Donations so that the busy street can keep handing out are very low, I suspect due to just how expensive everything is.But has anyone noticed that along with hugely increased rental costs (I could get twice what I get from my boarder, but I'm not greedy), prices at restaurants have soared? Even a relatively modest dinner (the Japanese noodle place) will cost us $50 for two. Gets crazy if you add some booze.
When it gets colder, the furnace will come on for sure....in the meantime enjoying the low utility bills. We resisted putting the furnace on. We have an infrared fireplace and a heater that took the chill off. Suddenly we couldn't get warm so the furnace came on.
Yuck - a colonoscopy prep! It is so sad that medical science hasn't come up with a better method of prep for these things. There is one coming up in my future too.Lots and lots of snow here today. I'm also prepping for a colonoscopy...so all of you can imagine what kind of day I'm having!
Yeah, I have not done one in quite a while but remember the, um, funYuck - a colonoscopy prep! It is so sad that medical science hasn't come up with a better method of prep for these things. There is one coming up in my future too.
Hope the pain eases up soon!Whee, a colonoscopy. Have ... fun? I hope the results are whatever is most positive for you.
Still recovering from my surgery and burned a third sick day just to get more time. Having trouble sleeping, partly due to non-surgical factors being exacerbated by the surgery (e.g. my occasionally sore right shoulder has been worse than usual, as has my back due to having sleep on it rather than on my preferred side). Otherwise, the overall direction is positive.
We fired up the furnace a while ago but use a programmable thermostat to manage use and gas consumption (we're on natural gas). For a while, we just ran it in the evening. Now we have our regular schedule on, which warms the house up in the morning, then turns it down. Since only Mrs. M is usually home daytimes, she can always use our electric space heater to just heat the room she is in rather than having the furnace going.
Will you be watching the movie?Lots and lots of snow here today. I'm also prepping for a colonoscopy...so all of you can imagine what kind of day I'm having!
