Ah, those cats...:cat:
Pets and kids can provide joy and annoyance. Hoping you kitty provides more of the first in future!
Cats are definitely pets that require patience. Of course two dogs ago we had a lovely girl. She was a great pet. But if she was left home alone when she wanted to come in the car she would go to the top of the stairs and pee on the rug. It was totally just an annoyance thing. When we changed the carpet a few years later I had to cut the sub floor out as it was pee stained

hopefully kitty will adjust to Ottawa soon
Our wee furball believes it is his right to go for a walk. If weather or something interferes he pees in the office. I am now trained to check as it is easier to mop up wen still wet. .

My large furball knows that the backyard is accessible to her and if she needs to go, and I'm not walking her, apparently, there's the door.

The cat only gets obstreperous if there are NO clean-ish kitty litters in the house. Given that there are three litter pans for one cat, this is a rare-ish occurrence.

I've spent much of the day knitting. I did go for a walk with the dog. We went to a nearby off-leash area and she had a good romp with new friends.

The knitting involved swearing, fudging after I didn't read the directions properly and a consultation with the designer. In spite of that, it's a fun knit. A knit that uses a significant amount of brain.

Look for a button that looks like a pair of square brackets, [ ]. Should be on the sub-menu that appears when you tap the vertical row of dots next to the preview button on the right side. If it is shaded, tap it to turn it off. It turns an advanced edit mode for people who know something called BB code.

That worked. Thanks @Mendalla

Good morning, all! Happy Monday! With cats sort of settling in, with appreciation for knitted socks, and the process of knitting, with appreciation of learning to knit with a different kind of yarn (which may also include an increased vocabulary), let us gather round the coffee cart and give thanks for life.

In a world driven by hate of the alter ... hoo cares?

Alternately ... the other side can't get it together either! All that is left id the medium ... and both sides are agin Ur ...

Mother of God naivete prevails ...

Good morning! Happy Tuesday! Time for hot beverages! The coffee cart is up and running, tea water us hot and coffee is brewed. All is ready, come and enjoy.

Thanks red baron. I'm thankful for a 4day weekend, and a 3 day work week. I'm also thankful that I look forward to working today, catching up with folks and doing what I do

A sunny start to this day :-) I have a few small tasks lined up & them am registered for a webinar at 2pm - through ihollaback.org - on Bystander intervention training to stop Anti-Asian & Xenophobic harassment. I have been to another training event by this group (American) and found it to be well done. I imagine today's will be a similar event. Hollaback! Together We Have the Power to End Harassment These are free events although donations are welcomed to support their work.

My upper arm is a little tender today from yesterday's vaccine injection - but nothing more than that in terms of side effects. I enjoyed that my shot was given by a doc I knew from my decades at the hospital. He is still working there as a hospitalist, and it's a 3 week on/off schedule for them. He was saying he used to work at several of the hospital's OP clinics in his 'off' time - but he wasn't enjoying the virtual nature of those clinics so he opted out of that & thought he could be useful at the hospital's COVID clinics.

A warmer day, lots of new growth. Love how in the spring it feels like you can watch the leaves grow

i started my seeds today. A few days later than I wanted but it has been so cold, that even with the heating pads I thought it was too cold. Have started the long process of digging up compost and spreading in onto the beds. Dug 20 pails yesterday. I love the concept of compost. Free dirt from scraps

It's starting out sunny here today. We had ham with my sister and her husband yesterday. The four of us are the bubble. Any other socializing is done outside. The dinner and visit was nice. Today I have a physio and a massage appointment. I was going to cancel one and decided to go to both. Hopefully I won't regret it later.

Lastpointe, how do you keep varmints out. We haven't composted due to raccoons

I don't think that most racoons can access the roll-y bins, and/or you could probably reinforce the latch in some fashion. I have problems with skunks, so I put skunk attractive stuff, like fruits and veggies, in the roll-y bins, and use the standing composters for yard waste/grass clippings.

My sister got a puppy. Her other dog was not that excited. Annoyed is the better term. She posted videos of walks and I can just picture her mind, keep walking forward, keep up a good pace, don't look at the annoying little thing. Look forwa ... darn! Turns to my sister - see what this silly puppy is doing?

For compost I use a large three bin system that hubby made me years ago. It is wood framed and chicken wire. Ten feet long, four feet deep, three feet high. Open in the front and top
I fill one section then move to the next and so on. currently two are ready to use, I am adding scraps to the third. And once I have emptied the first one I will start filling it too

i don’t worry about critters. They undoubtably check it out each evening, but it is far from the house, beside the garden. I don’t put corn cobs in but mainly because without cutting them up seems to take forever to rot. I didn’t add to it through the winter. That stuff doesn’t rot and seems to attract lots of animals
