Having some Coronation Street tea with my hot cross bun.

Parking on the street overnight was technically illegal in this area until fairly recently and everyone has a driveway and garage (suburbs) so usually it's only visitors parking on the street. The only time I park my own vehicles on the street is when cleaning the garage anyhow. I do remember struggling to find a spot when my friends lived in the heart of Toronto near U of T (both were grad students at the time). They rented the ground floor of a house on a side street off Bloor and there were no driveways (or very few, anyway) so everyone was parking on the street. And part of the street was reserved for people with permits to boot.

Weather is looking nice for this weekend so will get the windows screens cleaned and up, clean the BBQ, maybe some other work. Too chilly today (high of 4) but after that it's double digit highs.

I posted a picture of the hawk I mentioned upthread in the Duck/Bird of the Day thread.

Wishing everyone a lovely Good Friday. Still cold but sunny today

i Cant imagine why a by law person is responding to a noise complaint in an hour. I mean honestly. How annoying can it really be for an hour

some neighbours try our patience!

Good morning, all! For good neighbours let us give thanks. For not-so-good, let us pray. Around the coffee cart let us gather, where there is tea to help and coffee in time of need.

Sunny here, but still cool, with a chance of showers later in the day. Putting off my outdoor work to tomorrow and will focus on housecleaning today.

Just writing and reading so far this long weekend. Needed the break from work, I think. Contemplating a vacation in May once current major project is further along.

Easter gift from a friend- she got two craft kits from a local woman who usually gives evening courses with that ( outside of Covid) and we had lunch together and spend the afternoon together to get this done.

I'm starting a new knit today. It's part of a KAL (knit along) with the local yarn store. It is lace weight yarn which is very fine, rather like knitting cobwebs...... This one has beads too.

Good evening from the National Capital!
We had a rough week, and our poor cat had the most terrible time travelling. However, we all survived and are well.
My marvellous wife bought our furniture from Winnipeg and had it delivered here, so we are all set.
My cat, however, has not gone potty since yesterday morning. I am a little worried, and if he does not go until tomorrow morning, I will seek a vet.

Poor kitty. Our cat got stressed just going from Kitchener to Minden (roughly) so I can see it. Hope the constipation is just stress and things will get better as you get settled.

And welcome to Ontario! Ottawa is a nice city normally and hopefully will be again once the pandemic settles down. If vaccinations happen on time, I hope to get up there this summer but we will see.

Good morning! Happy Easter! For the colours of knitting, the well being of kitties, the hopes of new starts in new homes, and for support and camaraderie, let us come to the coffee cart, for tea, coffee, and other warm beverages await. All things are ready.
