Good Morning! As we mark the first Sunday of Advent, ;et us gather around the coffee cart for hot beverages of your choice. If I can remember to do so, we will symbolically 'light' one mug each week. (Note: To avoid the annual argument of whether the pink one should be lit on the 3rd or 4th Sunday, all cups will be purple).

Good morning friends. I recognize that there is so much going on in each of your lives, and we gather round the coffee cart, some quiet, some boisterous.

May you have a wonderful Sunday.

Good morning.

Been busy this morning so really just getting on right now. It is our "cleaning weekend" so I was washing and vacuuming floors. Also took down the screens and cleaned the windowsills.

@Seeler has kicked off the Jesse tree thread for 2020 so a treasured Wondercafe2 tradition continues for another year. I have stickied the thread and promoted it to the front page so it should be easy to find.

beautiful hike, northwind.

I was out doing some raking today, and also inside doing some writing.

To be honest, it's a day of highs and lows and I am reminded both of the journeys we take and the bends in the roads that we don't expect.
I am well, and it is all about the big circle of life, but, am aware that I have cried tears of joy and tears of sadness all within 30 min today.

I have had a busy day today, but got to spend some time outside, so that was nice. Dog and I went for a nice leisurely walk in the mid-afternoon sun. It was my daughter's birthday last week, and we'd finally found a common day off and I took her to a locally owned cafe (family friend types; they used to feed and keep an eye on my Mom) for a nice little brunch. Then I tackled a job that's been haunting me for a couple of days but my cat is tired of eating in the dark. Back hall landing has an overhead light. Keep long life bulbs in there. Don't know how it got changed last time or time before, but there must have been a tall kid/boarder in the house. And one of them could do it with a three-step step stool. So it's clear that if I'm going to do this solo, I'm going to need the aluminum ladder from outside. And it's a little too high for the ceiling when it's folded and there's no room to extend it out properly. So I have to sort of wedge it kitty corner against the wall, creep around to the second step, trying not to impale myself on the door knob, with my impromptu tool bag around my neck. Anyway, I got it all done, very carefully (washed and debugged the glass shade), but talk about McGyvering...And I didn't knock down a single piece of art (there's two large canvases and a set of three glass-fronted prints back there).

Got in an hour walk this afternoon and am working on a new story. So all in all a nice afternoon.

I wonder if you should have a spotter when you are doing that @BetteTheRed

It does occur to me that I didn't tell Erin what I was planning, probably because I don't think I would have got approval for the plans.

And if I'd tried to enlist a spotter, boarder's brother might have tried to pull his occasional masculine "I can do this", and my art work would have been at risk, as he's a clumsy clot.

My goodness Bette; that is quite a task. You seem to be very self-sufficient but Please be careful next time you are faced with a dilemma.
