Room For All

Welcome to Wondercafe2!

A community where we discuss, share, and have some fun together. Join today and become a part of it!

Good morning! Chicken enchiladas, more weather, convenient small pharmacies, and wildfires. We do cover a lot of territory. As we settle into Saturday, let us gather round the Coffee Cart in community of conversation, care, and support. All is ready.
Oh, and something about a Coronation today, too. Royal purple today.

Heading to an open house for my favourite quilting store today. Get to hang out with sewers, see demonstrations, shop bargains and just have fun!

Been sewing in my spare time. Lots of fun items.

My spouse is still not well. I wish i knew how to get him to go to the doctor.

Said to be sewers in Paris also ... thus that was sold out as a closing professional ... vast salesmanship ... foul ide a's?

Made room for bu bons ... translates pore ly as gates to the underworld ... golden fleecing's? Fleas win ...

Perverted words because the powers desired intellect to go down ... fallacy? Logical laws and loss ... thought diminished, feinted as in syncope ... anon in waves and then goes ...

For sacred reason ... tell them nothing ... sow I'z directed ...

It's raining here this morning and it's hot and dry up north. Parts of BC have floods or threats of floods while other parts are worried about fires. My friends in the Peace Country, both in BC and AB are posting scary smoky orange skies photos. Prayers for all of them. We're safe here.

We got our trailer back. The most significant issue did not get fixed because they ordered the wrong part. It will take four weeks for it to come in if they order it now. We have to leave here on May 22.

Gonna be "horsing around", eh. Somehow, it would not surprise me to find Charles is more interested in the Derby than the Coronation, too. That family has a history with horses.

Nice here so will get some outdoor stuff going.

I saw a 5 minute bit of the coronation n YouTube, courtesy of MSNBC. I think I saw all the important stuff, and saved myself untold hours of mostly fluff, I think.

"And Camilla is wearing a blue gown with crystal inlays and a tiara first worn by blah blah blah." Nothing worse than a royal commentator given free rein over the airwaves. No, I haven't seen any of it. Just based on past experience.

I saw the crowns placed on the heads and watched a bit of the ceremony in the cathedral. I tuned in for some of the procession and saw the Mounties. The procession was a well orchestrated event. Impressive. I missed the balcony appearance.

In brief (though I also missed the balcony appearance) They came out. They lined up. They stood. They waved and smiled. They went back inside. Everyone on the ground was happy.

Did I miss anything important?

Sorry if I sound a tad cynical. But this just puts me in mind of a committee meeting that could have been done in twenty minutes that stretches into hours and hours....

It's all very high falutin'

I enjoyed the procession which was really just a giant parade. The heavy religious component of the whole thing is bothersome to me.

I enjoyed catching some of it as it was happening. I definitely wouldn't sit through the entire thing.

I think I heard that the cost is estimated between 100 and 280 mio Euros. Paid by the people, not by the crown. It’s time to end the monarchy.

I don't care so much about the cost, as it's shared pretty widely, including down to us, LOL. And some people like pomp and display, and that's not a bad thing, necessarily.

What I do not understand is the "inherited head of state" thing. I do not think that one family is biologically destined to lead anything. Think about the illogic of it. I am smart. Turns out, that I procreated with smart people, and my kids are smart. Does this somehow make our family eternally entitled to anything?

I watched horse racing most of the day, and even it has its controversies...like all of the horses that have been dying lately or needing to be euthanized. But the winner, Mage, was fun because some people could 'own' a piece of the horse for $50.00. My husband says that he knows the perfect job for me. Apparently, people are hired to sit with the horses, keeping an eye on them and whoever visits. My dream job. (too fat to be a jockey; too poor to be an owner).

Thus the downs ... places where the race goes on ... it may descend on a few! The alternate will not get it due to the powers of denial and destruction of intelligence ... this negative exists on a different plane ... how to get there?

Through an abstract vision ... these are out of here ...
