@Northwind I like the name of it: Solitude.

It has a swoop on the back that looks like a smile. I want to get eye decals to make it a face. It's annoying to follow someone like us so why not make them smile. The word Solitude is also on the back. I'd like to use in in a sentence. Something like "Living in Solitude"

Good morning. I think today needs to be a quiet, relaxing day. The dog came up on the bed around 4 this morning. She got let out for a pee break and is back in her bed. The chorus of songbirds has been at it for awhile with the doves providing accompaniment. It's still early. Zzzzz

That's supposed to be the BPoTW this coming weekend but I took over as host for that Sunday and I am debating whether I feel like dealing with it right now. I am getting bit tired of John and I am not fond of 14. Which, really, is probably as good as reason as any to do it.
(PS. There's three "I am" statements in there. Appropriate, I suppose. )

As it was announced in March on the news, the NS government is paying out money to all healthcare staff except managers and doctors as a “retaining bonus”. So I am getting my $5000 this week. I don’t feel that it is a good use of the money ( I suspect that this is part of what they are getting from the federal money to the provinces,) but I am not saying no to free money. A bit disappointing that it ends up being just $2780 after taxes and deductions.

Mr Paradox's family used to have a dog who waited patiently for someone to get up in the morning. If she thought they were taking too long, she would go into a bedroom and watch the people sleep. As soon as they opened their eyes, it was game over!

She did it to us a few times when we staying in the house. Maybe she figured house guests were early risers.

There was no fooling her. Even opening one eye a little bit was enough to signal you were no longer asleep.
