The morning glory muffins are finally baked. Are they in time for afternoon tea?

Aside from the environmental issues, there are very good reasons why diesels are not really a good choice for cars in Canada. A gasoline ICE is much more reliable than diesel in the cold. Of course, EV performance goes down in the cold, too, but that affects range rather than starting as I understand it.they are both diesels, that’s probably why
I ducked my boss' 25th anniversary with the company last week. They were serving lunch, meaning having to be unmasked for part of it. Couldn't risk exposure that close to my eye surgery. Hated doing it but he knows why.Chemguy asked my permission but clearly very much wanted to be there plus felt like he should be there.
Yeah, I'm struggling a bit with this one. It's dinner. Chemguy already missed out on a management dinner which I know he felt like he really should go to otherwise he wouldn't have asked me.I ducked my boss' 25th anniversary with the company last week. Having an oximeter is a good idea. I was pleasantly surprised when I bought mine - I think it was about $20 - less than I feared. Most medical equipment seems to be very overpriced.Oh, and as worrying mom, I bought an Oximeter for way too much money to have son monitor his O2. When he tried to get the car going this morning he had to throw up- is very tired. I feel better if he has a measure to know when to call 9-1-1. Bought him a pack of boost, too ( boost, not booze).
Thank you for your service to others. If everyone with the ability to get around and do stuff helped others this world would be a better place. We had -20 this morning. I had taken the day off. Got a call at 6.50 that d-i-laws car doesn’t start and neither does son’s, if I can give her a ride ( they are both diesels, that’s probably why). She is close contact but had negative rapid tests since Sunday and is staying away as much as one can with using the same bathroom…
Drove into Dartmouth to IKEA and Costco, I had a long list with things for six different households. Another storm is forecasted for Friday into Saturday, so everybody was there shopping as if we will never again be able to purchase anything. Then had to deliver all the stuff to the other households.
My province got really dumped on recently. About half the roads were closed and many others were in the 'Not Recommended' category! We were fortunate as a son came over with his snowblower and did an excellent job. It didn't actually take long as he had pulled the snow off the roof a few days earlier and cleared that away. The wind prevented a big buildup in our yard - others, of course, got extra.I've just made an effort to shift the heaviest snow off the front porch. Hard work.
Our doc retired a year ago. Fortunately, one of the docs at a local family health team was accepting patients so we got in with him. Still getting used to his rather different style of practice. Our old guy was in his sixties and had trained in the seventies. Tended to be very quick to refer to specialists. This guy is a relatively recent grad (finished his residency in family medicine less than a decade ago) and tends to keep control of stuff longer before referring you.I expect my GP will be next. He is part of a big group practice which plans to relocate soon. Unfortunately they are moving to a much less convenient location.
Locally docs got some pressure from the higher ups to keep people away from specialist appointments if at all possible. The system is sorely overwhelmed still, with long waits for advanced tests and appointments with specialists. Our doc retired a year ago.
