I do like the cool in contrast with the too hot. It was nice to snuggle down against a cool breeze coming in from my bedroom door this morning. I too am still in flannel until the next sheet change (scheduled for the next day or so), and the duvet is always on the bed, albeit folded in a neat stack at the bottom most of the summer.

My parents convinced funeral home to go forward with the stream - knowing it could cut out. It worked just fine. Not the same as being there but it was good to attend same time as other close family plus reduced stress on others with trying to upload a video somewhere asap.

I am pleased to read that. I haven't had to deal with a funeral for anyone close since Covid struck. Lots of neighbours and acquaintances though - people whose funeral I would have attended as the supportive thing to do.

Yes, I had a colleague who had one. The pig and their dog figured out how to open the garbage can and the pantry while they were at work.
They also had to observe which corner in the house the pig liked to use to pee and then put a pig litterbox there.

I woke yesterday to see a TICK feeding gaily on the back of my knee. Hubby carefully removed it and we thought the excitement was over. Turned out to be not true. The area turned bright red, puffy and more than a little itchy/painful.

Saw my doc today and said I've had LOTS of ticks over the years, but never one that left a problem behind like this. He took a look and grabbed some gloves!. He gently poked it, applied some disinfectant and prescribed antibiotic. We agreed that Lyme spreading ticks aren't 'supposed' to be here but this situation looks a lot like early Lyme.

I really don't want to be the first person in the Health Region to get it!! That's it - I'll quit bitchin' now I've had a moan.

Eep ticks are gross enough without the lyme. Sounds like you at least saw it quickly so hopefully you won't have any issues not that you got antibiotics.
