I think that only includes parking and traffic tickets, which are tied to your plates. Something like a fine for not maintaining your property wouldn't show up because it isn't tied to the car. COVID tickets would fall under that.Well, that actually confuses me.
In Ontario, you can't renew your driver's license, or plates, with outstanding municipal fines. Tickets might not "work" short term here, but they sure do, long term, if you'd like to keep your vehicle legal.
Welcome to the club. Not that anyone really wants to join. So, now Nova Scotia has their share of fundamentalist law breakers. They will have to do a lot of fundraising now.
I have mixed opinions on the mandate for a note. A part of me has beleived they should have been required from the beginning (knowing that there would be ways people woud game the system -- just like they did in prohibition to get liquor as a medical necessity or with medical canabis). At the same time I know that the medical system is relatively stretched as it is, do they reallly need a bunch of people coming to try to get medical exemptions? Our family Dr. told Patty that she had already been seeing lots of people trying to get her to give them such a note as it was.I had a busy day so I didn't catch the streamed update, just the written summary.
They are requiring notes now for those with medical mask exemptions. Sucks that selfish people make challenges for others that much more daunting.
I'm glad for the change only because of the number of really selfish people I wish people would not take advantage of the rare circumstances some have.
I agree, it would have been good if it happened in the summer when doctors were less stretched. I did think the specificity would help. I fall under the excemptions on a regular basis, infrequent basis, and possible situation of an HAE attack that doesn't require a letter. It was good to see that outlined.I have mixed opinions on the mandate for a note.
