Actually she lay down when we told her to "go lie down". She watched the rest of the meal lying down beside us.

We also tried "go home". This resulted in her standing up and moving over (closer to her cottage) about 12 inches. Funny dog!

I've been knitting a sweater that's on hold for a bit. It's fair isle and I am looking forward to seeing how it blooms when it is blocked. The colours and design will probably stand out nicely.

Gads. How long will this throw knitting LAST. It's like the song that never ends. I'm persevering because I know it will offer comfort to a friend. Eventually.

I'm using the pattern "Happy Birthday Throw" from Ravelry as a guide. It's a rib pattern with a YO and k2tg. It's a nice pattern and works up nicely. If you're on Ravelry I'm KathrynFSJ there. I have pictures in my projects. I can't seem to post pictures here lately.

I was about to give up for the night as I had to redo one seam TWICE as I could not get it to work...persevered and the first half is done (y) Hopefully the second half goes quicker.

3 of 4 seams done!!!!! Really, I don't know why they are taking so long to do and are so difficult because there isn't much to them at all.

At LAST...(didn't turn out quite as I hoped)

@paradox3 and others...top left - start off with 2 long rectangles (15 x 80 inches - this one I made 12 inches as I'm small)...top middle - fold one in half and sew 2 seams to form a loop at top and a sleeve...top right - loop the second piece through the first loop and sew two seams to form second sleeve...bottom - you'll end up with a V :)

That leaves the following projects still to be completed (hopefully before the end of the year)...
1. knitted bikini
2. knitted jacket
3, crocheted sweater for niece
4. crocheted dress for niece
5. crocheted slippers
6. crocheted experiment
7. crocheted hair snood

Acupuncture and blood work today.
I think - after dreaming about the darn thing all night - I will have to redo the seams on the sweater and see if that helps.

BA, don't answer if I'm being too nosy, or answer via Wondermail if you'd like.

Have you ever had a diagnosis of your condition by a traditional Western doctor?

When this happened way back when I was 14 the diagnosis was chronic mono...I've since discovered that I never had mono. This time around the medical doctors said my blood work showed there was nothing wrong with me - they only checked white blood cell levels and didn't test for anything else - even though my blood DOES show there was something REALLY wrong.

And I solved the mystery of the strange sound in the basement...some of the newspaper tubes I made for baskets came unrolled and were rubbing against a box - sure made a weird sound.
