Good thing you were only filling in for the cat's owner!I looked after a cat once that wouldn't come out until I was getting up from a chair and then - no matter how far away she was - managed to trip me as I took a step.
Have never really thought any of my cats cared whether I looked at them or not. It's hard to tell with cats.Part of the problem is that cues that people who don't like cats tend to adopt (like not looking at the cat), tend to attract cats. I've been following a dog training guy and he talks quite a bit about not sending "unintentional" signals.
Old family story about cats: A neighbour came to the house to look after me when my brother was being born & mom and dad were at the hospital. This woman was terrified of cats. Our cat of the day climbed up the curtains in the living room and scared the wits out of her. The cat had never done this before and never did it again.
This sweater is turning into an optical illusion...I did only have 6 inches left to knit but I've done 8 inches now and still not the right length.
It must have been quantum...I knit two more rows and it's all good...next up is the sewing!Could be a quantum thing. You might want to call in a consulting theoretical physicist before you knit a black hole or something.
Hmmm... Nah, I like the optical illusion explanation better. It must have been quantum...I knit two more rows and it's all good...next up is the sewing!
LAST step done before I start sewing...I'm not a fan of blocking either (most of the time).
Had a meal outside this summer at the cottage. Neighbours' dog sat politely watching us eat (drooling) but was unobtrusive. She got up and went home as soon as we were finished.Dogs certainly do drool. Lucy really doesn't love the car, and so she pants anxiously most of any ride. Most of this panting is done right over top of my right shoulder... LAST.
