Personally, I am all for masks and other precautions in some settings generally. LTC, medical facilities, etc. And it would be a good idea for people who have or suspect they may have a respiratory illness, too. Masking when you're ill is accepted practice in many East Asian cultures, for instance. But that's as far as I would go if COVID is, in the end, now just in the same league as a bad flu. Not sure there's a lot of benefit to healthy people masking in everyday settings like shopping or their place of work (unless they're health workers, of course).
