OTOH, I'm a huge fan of good old top loading whirlpools, of which I've had two over 40 years.

@Carolla Is his hip related to his cancer? I am sorry that things are progressing faster than previously. Hard to be away. I do hope you have a good visit with him.
 
Yes it is pinga - he's got extensive bone mets & these can result in fractures as the bones become more and more fragile.
 
I am at the airport with a few hours to kill.

I gave extra time as have a new passport so had to have a visa transferred from one to the other, and didn't want to update nexus inappropriately.

I had a great border services agent and nexus was updated in less than 5 min, then,hit a 2nd reasonable one who moved my visa.

Flew through the rest so something I allocated an extra hour for took about 20min. Now the plane is delayed hoping it will get here and we will be about 90 min delayed. Oh well. Part of the glory of flying

Thanks for asking crazyheart :) I enjoy preaching, and look forward to doing more of it in church at some point in the future :) I do get training in preaching in school, where we take turns preaching. However, I'm happy to no longer be preaching or giving the short talks that I used to at my Baptist church. I'm gradually doing something and part of that was my giving up my speaking before the congregation.
 
as well as problems we also have blessings and joy. I have a car, I am healthy, had a great day up the mountain tubing with a school on Friday, food is in the oven, my cat loves me. Our new minister is great, I'm stepping off the church Board next week. I have a job I enjoy and it pays me. Sometimes we just talk about our troubles. Joys are important too.
 
I have lots of joy...hope that I am sharing them appropriately. From the ability to retire, to social times with friends, to laughter with new friends, to a sister that cares about me, a wonderful set of immediate family, and...so much more. Most of what I value are relationships, but, I know it is the financial comfort and benefits that allow me to do things that I never thought I would be able to do. Some of it is luck, some is hard work, some is the family that I was born in, but, I will laugh and enjoy each day that I am left on this earth....if I don't, give me a swat and remind me what a blessing it is to breathe.

Betes like turn ups are like stones ... they can be flipped ... uncovered with some digging ... voie-la ... there it is the wisdom seen ... only in a flash then the shadow goes to the other's ID of it regressing? Like Moses in the face of gross desires ...
 
Some folks here will remember a wonderful minister from BC. who posted as LoveJoy on WonderCafe. Anyhow, her granddaughter was disagnosed with a condition in vitro which is/was life threatening.

The reason that I post is our friend has asked for prayer. I know some of you believe in the power of interventionist prayer. In particular, she has asked for prayer of breath.....sending her lungs the power they need to breathe and grow strong.

So....hoping that for those who do, that they will include this wee one in their prayers.

Yes, I remember Lovejoy very well.

Her posts were always interesting and thoughtfully done. She also had a great sense of humour and was lots of fun on the lighter threads.
