It all depends. They will get married when it works for her son's schooling (she doesn't want to switch him in the middle of the year) and when the immigration is close to being finalized. She wouldn't mind being married one or two months before she actually moves, but won't get married if it will be a year or more. But, on the plus side, her engagement ring is gorgeous! So Nancy will the wedding be before daughter moves?
How about an ant farm. No litter box required, and you'll outlive the ants for sure.Seelerman and I both like cats and dogs - but you are right, he is more partial to cats. So we have considered several times getting a kitten or young cat. At one time we were so close that I had bought some cat food and a litter box and thought we would be on our way to the SPCA that afternoon when he said 'let's think more about this'. I was disappointed, but perhaps he was thinking of all the trips he would make to the basement to change the litter box, the arranging someone to come around if we were away, and the fact that whatever pet we get now has a real likelihood of ourliving us.
Enjoyed the drive home last night. Some blowing snow, but not too much. Had to follow a salt truck for a while, which was slow. Overall, took an extra 30 minutes. The SUV is fitted out for winter, so driving in that stuff was a breeze.Nasty night in Southern Ontario. Apparently, someone finally got the memo about it being January. Not too bad in London right now, just windy, but the OPP have closed two highways in Huron County North of here.
@Seeler , one option is to put your name into the local vets for any seniors who are having to give up pets due to moving into care or ill health.
It might be an option.
