The problem is I haven’t been given the sermon…just the title. This is a bizarre situation…I’m hoping the secretary gives me a copy of the bulletin tomorrow so I can figure out what to do. I have written and practiced a message that respects and acknowledges special events in the church.

What a busy week it has been in the room.

Storms, people carrying for the other, power outages, the room's cat, stubborn cats, snow, and so much more.

Thankful for people who just keep posting away and saying hi, and carrying for the other.

I've had a busy and frustrating week. Working too hard, but, hoping some resolution in place. We shall see.
Asked if myself & my workmate would extend our contract for a year. need to ponder what that means and what conditions we will put in place regarding it.

In addition, my sister is able to travel, woot!woot! She got her boot off today, so has to be careful, but, headed here for a week.
 
The thing about burdens, is we don't know the burdens others carry.
Some talk about them, some don't.
Some we can see them, some we can't.
Some have developed amazing resiliency, and, yet even for them, there can be something that they just can't abide.

We come to the room, laugh, and lay down our burdens for a bit.
No comparison of the size or weight.

Just being present is good enough
 
Really, I find it a great word

Life throws s**t at me.

No one assigned or did to me most of my challenges

Might be an interesting thread to better understand why folks don't like the word or concept
 
Good morning! Today we remember those who are asked on short notice to fill in at a worship service, family members who are recovering, bearing burdens (our own and those of others), nice-sounding phrases people say that really aren't that helpful, and all the other things that will pop up today. We bring them with us to the Coffee Cart, for discussion and support, venting and hearing, over coffee, tea, and baked goodies, doughnuts. Come in as you are able, have a cup or mug, and a doughnut, and share your thoughts. All is ready, all are welcome.

Recall this world is full of arguments, de bate'n and other unsettled matter that rises in excitement ... stimulating what was formerly de AD ...resurrection?

The word resiliency doesn’t bother me because it is a reaction to more than what others do to you. But I do get bugged when people criticize me for being defensive. They jump to that label without examining what they have said or done that compelled me to defend or at least set the record straight.

There is this defensive undercurrent to brute offensiveness ... even in Romantic times the Caesars didn't observe it till the end and brute has appeared to some of nosism those that see their "I" as whe ... there is this wild dance between us and them ... some doze off into the gross void without a dream of peace and thus ruagh nightmares ... carpet burns as bombs. Material all ripped away as rapiers ... the UK folk even made a game of splitting captives ... trying to create a perfect divine 'n line ... skits OI'd?

See it from out there ... back off a bit ... some may feint at the scene we've created ... others , well the visions are blocked! One must get around the corner on Sunday Morn ... a come down? OHL ord why me ...

Yup. Don't they realize we have good reason to defend ourselves? I used to get called touchy. It was a combo of too sensitive and defensive. Both descriptions I used to get too. Want to see me get defensive? Call me any of those three things. (Touchy, too sensitive, defensive)

This is sometimes labeled empathy, a vaster form of sympathy that great central forces cannot approach from where they're at ... it inflates as a dark NU clear item of bother, worry, etc.

It is amazing what some people are legitimately upset by and can't get past, and what others can brush off. You can call me whatever and that doesn't impact me one bit. I'm confortable and confident that while I can be sarcastic and abrasive at times, I'm justified in my words and overall I mean well and I do good for others.

I'm sure there are things you could say to me that would trigger me for a decade or more, but I'd have to think about it to come up with something.

Actually I'm not particularly bothered by them now. It was more my younger self. Now I have the skills to deal, including brushing off.
