The weather was nice (by November standards) on Sunday so I was out for a walk and saw lots of people putting up decorations and lots already up. I haven't been decorating in recent years and usually only put up a tree when I used to. We shall see. Maybe this coming weekend.

We might see flurries tomorrow the forecasters say but it would be the wet, not staying kind. The gang on Floorworld, who are mostly in Western and Northern Europe, were posting snow pics this morning so I guess winter got its first go round there.

We're still getting rain. Some wind gusts that aren't as bad as last night. Power is still out. I doubt hydro crews were out in full force last night. The park wasn't full of noisy generators through the night. Thankfully. Some are on now at 0600.

I'm supposed to go to the council meeting at the church this morning. The minister is on a gulf island. BC Ferries has canceled sailings so she might not make it. The church building had no power last night. I wonder if we'll have the meeting. Time will tell.
I saw on the news this morning that Washington got whacked pretty good so I was wondering how you were faring. Aside from the power, doesn't sound too bad. Take care and stay safe.

I suspect the park looks like a war zone of sorts. There will be branches all around and on the roads. At least one awning will be off the trailer of someone who didn't bring it in. People's gazebos or shelters will be at least askew. Chairs and such that weren't tied down will be in new spots. A significant portion of this city and region had no power last night. Hopefully no serious damage was done.

I woke to continued snow. Most people have cancelled appointments here and in the city. There's no way I'd be out on the highway either. Probably won't go outside at all.
I see that the usual Group Home staff who pass our house on the way to work all headed in this morning. No car tracks on the road - one set of footprints, one set of xc ski tracks and one set of snowshoe tracks. Resourceful folks live here.
Someone posted on FB that some Senior residences are snowed in. That will get them dug out quickly. Lots of kind people here with shovels and machines to do jobs like that.

I looked at the BC Hydro outage map. It looks like crews are on the outage in our area. Our neighbours have a generator so we could grind our coffee beans. First world crisis averted. We loaned them our oil heater because their furnace isn't working. This is a wonderful community.

Duplicate post. Gremlins.
Lmao Lol GIF by filmeditor

Though in your situation, I would blame the storm for messing with the Internet.

Almost sounds like a small town. Our son was going to offer to snowblow our elderly neighbours but someone else go there first.

Governing Bull and Canon would order folk into communities where they can be best controlled by mystic sand Jae cis ... hang on the fringe so you can waddle and swing ... some say weave a league for the next generation about how gross the past was ... given all the polity there are excesses of exorbitant nature and character development ... all this mindlessly based on desire alone!

One gets a gentile idea 'r about humble intelligence ... gam*eas? Dark hynd ...

Thanks for the fruitcake...yum!
We put up our pagan Christmas tree today and did some decorating......it sure creates a nice soft and soothing lighting.
Does everybody have their Christmas tree and decorations up?
Christmas tree, check. Ours is a little 2D wooden tree that we put in the livingroom every year. Decorations, check. They're 2D wooden cutouts of deer, smaller trees, and the words "Noel" and "Xmas"

Does the X stand for mystery? That's dark as No EL on a winter's Nacht ... when we knuckle down to resist the weather from a closet space ... as that's where the tyrannical Bull would confine the intellects ... they cannot stand the tho 't out process ...

Good morning! Snow in some places, continuing dealing with weather bombs out west, decorating and de-decorating, all the other stuff that arises, we bring it to the Coffee Cart to discuss and to sort out. We have coffee, tea, squares, and leftover fruitcake to go along with the conversations. Come in, as you have the chance, and join the conversations, or start a new one! All are welcome, and all is ready!

Good morning. It's a dreary day here with more wind warnings in the forecast. Looks like tomorrow and/or Saturday may be a repeat of Tuesday. Battening down the hatches.

Dreary here too. Right now, I'm in a little angst. I was asked yesterday to fill in at a church on Sunday because the minister is sick. I'm not a last minute kind of worship-leader, but I pulled something together last night and sent it to the secretary today. Now I find out that the service was already organized, including sermon. So...do I read someone else's words, or deliver my own? The someone else is definitely smarter, more educated, more theological.

Deliver your own. It'll be more from your heart

Does the minister's whole service tie in with the sermon? Such as hymns, prayers and children's message? If so then I would go along with the minister's sermon, but only if the message is something you agree with.
Save your sermon for another last minute call.
Of course it's your call. Trust yourself.
