Just showers here. Even had the sun peek out briefly earlier, but now it is cloudy with light showers.

Quiet weekend. Plugging away the umpteenth draft of a story that I have been trying to write forever it seems. Changed my approach this time to see if that gets things going further.
 
Ruminating on a conversation isn't fun. Waiting for a response is a struggle. Did they read it? Should I have called? Did i misunderstood. Been there. Hope things resolve for you @Waterfall

I am pondering a conversation last night with someone that i care about. They are angry about homeless "don't want a house" " thieves", food banks " do they just use it coz they can, why no means test", the other (typically s. Asian) the "stupid son tax change".

I'm wondering whose messaging but it was hard to walk the line of conversation, disagreeing or turning.

I'm wondering if this is pre-election stuff and am not looking forward to future visits.

I find it hard to be civil. One of our supported charities is foodbank. I know there were times we didn't have much, but i have a strong image when I was a teenage babysitter of asking my mom to bring over something i could cook for kids.

It wasn't their fault their mom struggled .

For difficult conversations of all sorts, for weather events, for all else that will come into our chats today, we gather in spirit round the Coffee Cart, to discuss, support, and care about one another, over coffee, tea, and baked goodies. Muffins are warm, fruitcakes have arrived, coffee is fresh brewed, tea water is boiling. come have a mug or cup and a nibble, and join in the conversations!

Delicious - there's nothing better than muffins and coffee. Yum!
 
*pours loose leaf tea into a steeper and puts it in a cup, adds hot water*

Weather is a bit suckish here this weekend. Everything from moments of sun to light showers. And now they are calling for winter weather to start soon. Forecast for next Saturday is -1C with a chance of flurries. They say those leaves won't rake themselves but with this weather, they might have to try. :LOL:
 
We were supposed to wake to a raging snowstorm. Looks like we had a slow and gentle bit of snow overnight that hasn't amounted to anything much. Coffee and a muffin sound appropriate.

How to cut through it? Gone with the wind as just another flyer ... de boids? Some say void it birds are a bother ... get a satyr ... woodland donkey is good for kicking wolves, coyotes and other biting essence ... like pas Zions ... toggled? That's the switch ... sometime difficult to turn on once the lights went out in GEO Ghia? Understood ... sorry I haven't a clue ... I've been told that! Determinately by those that know the entire story ... yet why do I have doubts?

It is hard to start each day or each conversation anew.

Redbaron does a great job of a restart each day

I appreciate those who come in and sweep up the room

Starting to cut out loungers/pj bottoms for my great nieces/nephews and granddaughters that are under 16.
I also have t-shirts being stencilled for all 12 of them.

But late, but fingers crossed it comes together
 
Writing with a Spotify playlist of "Light Metal" in my buds. Basically, stuff from the more melodic end of the metal spectrum, though some is still pretty heavy. A few of my favourites are on it but also a lot that are new. One of the joy of embracing a new genre of music is a constant flood of new to me music.
 
We now have a bit more snow. Highway driving not recommended. I see the neighbour won't be at church today - stuck in the yard . At least one rural church has been cancelled. There is a concert planned for later - I wonder if the performers will arrive safely and the audience - us - get to the venue.
 
Tried to call my parents. They were barely listening to me. Seems the squirrels had been getting in the bird feeder so my dad greased the roof of it.

Squirrels, it turns out, don't learn from the squirrel who jumped before them. Each squirrel has to try to be sure.
 
My aunt and uncle had bird feeders in their backyard. Squirrels made them crazy. They tried all manner of tactics to thwart them. I think they finally caved and got a squirrel feeder of some sort.
 
Coffee is delicious on this rainy day. I think we're getting a true island November. I'm glad we don't have shovel. Stay warm those who do.

I'll be heading off to church soon.
 
Squirrels are cute and fun to watch but, yeah, can be a nuisance, too. Between them and the birds, I am so happy to have my home office desk in front of a window sometimes.
 
They have so many squirrels. And raccoons. And deer. And birds. And they just keep feeding all of them.

OMG. the feed bags. Anyone need 50lb feed bags? Even the farmers won't take them back now. The feed mills won't, either.
 
Our neighbour feeds the Squirrels, raccoons, skunks and tons and tons of crows ......every morning. I think she wants to attract the "song birds", but no, that's what shows up instead because she throws a bucket of seeds on the ground every morning. Whatever turns her crank I guess, but the skunks and raccoons at night are annoying. And the crows are starting to look like an Alfred Hitchcock movie when they show up.
