Room For All

Welcome to Wondercafe2!

We were supposed to have a warmer day today. The wildfire smoke is blocking the sun so it's keeping the temperature down. It might be 20 today. I've watched two church services on YouTube and am hoping to finish a book today. Waiting for the water for tea to boil. I'll top up the tea pot in the room. Enjoy

Our fun activity for today was a picnic in the park. Smokies and home made whole wheat buns cooked over our little Primus stove. With coffee of course. Fortunately we had finished enjoying the food and peace before six car loads of Mennonites showed up for their idea of a quiet day at the park - We estimated 30 youngsters and left. Our response would have been the same even if they weren't Mennonite - it was just that they were easy to identify by their clothing and that was too much noise for us old fogies!

Men 'nites are close to clear darkness of soul ... nache thing? Where the head is attached ...

Beyond that what do we know? Nothing ... as ought is encouraged ... even dual as doubled och ... chaos? Sure thing given what we believe is contrary to intelligence ...

I shovelled soil four hours in the morning, had lunch and a nap. Washed the car. Now at the drive in for the Barbie movie- recommendation from my sister- otherwise I would’ve even thought about it

We enjoyed the Barbie movie. Well, the big guy fell asleep half way through, but I enjoyed it. Quite thoughtful, not as fluffy as you'd assume.\

Had a lovely brunch with church and neighbour friends today. Sausage, mushroom, pepper & cheese omelettes with fresh fruit, including wild blueberries.

And celebration of life for Aging Hippie yesterday went really well, and was meaningful, a lot of fun, and think it provided me with a certain closure. I'd packed camping stuff in the car in case I felt I should stay over (my friend's place is about 40 minutes from town), but I was careful, and drove home safely, home by about 11:30 p.m. I saw some people I had not seen in almost a decade, and it was really nice to reconnect.

My friend had to wear his jacket today lol

Friends from Yellowknife have left safely. It's neat to see people offering their homes, property and whatever to evacuees. I hope this doesn't become as horrific as fire chief expects.
It's heartwarming to see the people of Hillhurst UC in Calgary offering to take evacuees into their homes (and those without space providing financial support), just as they did when waves of Ukrainian refugees arrived in their city. True Samaritans living their faith. I wonder what response other churches are offering.

I have discovered some strange congregational "bedfellows" when it comes to churches linking up to help. We run a breakfast in Barrie every day. "Our" day, Tuesday, has us partnered with the Christian Reformed church. Very different theology, completely compatible ideas on social justice.

Pretty big lockdown here. Stressful situations for some, being evacuated from NWT, shopping for clothes only to be stuck in lockdown. Not a lot of details yet, but the situation thankfully is over. Hopefully people just looking for entertainment, shopping, working, etc. at the mall were none of those hurt.

The expression of power in the great search for mores ... unfound without more thought input! Alas more intellect to dispose of ... dearly departed at great cost!

Good morning! Soup kitchens, evacuees, lockdowns, lots of things going on. Come join us in spirit round the Coffee Cart, for chatting and support, for hot beverages and goodies. All is ready, drop on by.

I remain on the fringe as I try and gather some thoughts ... difficult in an emotional state that seems preferred above what prof ess 'd and phantom!

So much need in the world right now (maybe always). It's a little overwhelming. A friend of ours is desperately looking for housing, and help with two children who are having health and mental health issues. The friend has been messaging my sister with her woes and my sister asked: As a Christian I feel I should be doing something. But what? We have both helped this individual when we have been able. But the housing thing seems a little beyond us.

Provincial and federal governments have been too slow to take real action on this problem. Our leaders are too insulated from the reality that had been building for too many people.

Reality appears to manifest (incarnate) as a problem in humanity given unreal BS ... that is a basic omission of virtue due to misinformation in the proposed BS. It is what many believe without appreciable reason!

Some things are not that well appreciated by either side in the flipping non sense drama! IO Sue and the Din Eire currency by the unmentionable character once known by Pan ... left the Pan and got right into the flames and vapours --- Freud!

Other times seen as de Bell ... the shape of the paradigm, relating stats and desires! Spontaneous functions may be endogenous spirits as modern steroids! These require chiral connections as twinned ... and poorly understood as a science and science is just unbelievable by a sector!

May lead to heaps of cursive words as the function is scripted ... in code!

I am exhausted! What a day. All good, just tiring. Knitting group this morning, a few errands, lunch with a book, cancer ladies coffee, off to the tire store to get a "squishy" tire checked and filled, then Costco. I left home just after 9 the left town just after 5.

Feet are up. Dinner that hubby made being eaten. Quiet night ahead.

Took our daughter to Montebello this afternoon and visited two shops we did not visit yet. The wool shop was closed unfortunately.
.

Good morning! Housing and health care, knitting, reading, and tire maintenance, visits to shops,, and all the other things that make up living, we bring with us to the Coffee Cart. Let us gather inspirit, chat, give and receive support, and, of course, share in hot beverages. The Coffee Cart is ready, come on in.
