My dog....gone for almost two years now...used to love to eat carrots. She would go into the garden and pull up a feast anytime she wanted. In her final days, she couldn't keep any food or water down, but on her very last day, she staggered to the garden, found a carrot, and ate it.

When our first dog was about a year old, we have her a carrot from our little garden. She pulled and ate all of the carrots. Our current dog is a California dog and loves most fruits and vegetables. We only have problems when she eats grasses and other plants that make her vomit.
 
Good morning, all! Pets eating plants... anyone know of one eating kale? Just curious... anyway, the coffee is perked, tea water at the boil, coffee cart is ready. Come join the chat and deeper conversations.

We eat Kale salad and cooked dishes with kale. We had a fair crop of kale and still have enough in the garden for at least two more meals.

I have an overabundance of kale in the garden and I only use it in soups and stews. Earlier in the year, I use some in a garden greens salad. I need a recipe for a good kale salad ....I can look on line, or you can reccommend!
 
I suspect our girl would eat kale. She loves many veggies. She doesn't have her own garden so I don't know whether she would dig her own if she had the opportunity.

I'm thankful for a quieter day today. I've had a few busy days and am glad for some down time. I'll be getting my fifth shot and flu shot this afternoon. Hubby will get his flu shot. I'm hoping to be able to start sewing a project I cut out on Monday tomorrow.
 
The important part of kale salads is thoroughly massaging the kale once the veins are stripped out. Once that is done, there are lots of options. B uses lemon and olive oil dressing with toasted sesame seeds and almonds or whatever nuts or seeds are available. Our last kale dish was kale cooked with a rice mix containing wild rice and mushrooms.

Plus growing conditions. I like kale, on occasion I buy some that is too bitter for anything besides kale chips.

So my writing sites are now being a pain. I can login, but the Remember Me isn't working on mobile so I have to login every time I go to one of them on my phone. Once again grateful that we went with solid off-the-rack software for this site. For all the bitching I hear from a small group of other admins and site owners in the support community ("I need it to do this", "I don't like how it does that"), Xenforo just works for basic stuff like logging in and that's what we need here.

Do we make room for difficult and hostile folk that would like to degenerate the composition (that'd be us)? Particle coordination ...
