Did i tell you about my great granddaughter? Last winter my goal was to see my great granddaughter. Sure enough, GG was born on March 8th, Granddaughter of Seelergirl, Daughter of Granddaughter. Although she lives in a city over 100 kms away, I was able to see her several times before my household was down with COVID. Once we recovered, we saw her a couple of times while wearing masks and across the patio. Then when we were planning a visit to her, granddaughter, the baby and the baby's father all came down with the COVID "plague". Were hoping to visit in another week or so, meanwhile, we see her through the magic of computers.
She is amazing! Very much like her mother who was very much like Seelerboy.
By 6 weeks she was stretching her legs to try and stand in an upright position while being held by the hands. She was alert in the jolly jumper she actually seemed to be dancing to music! She has always been alert, laughing and aware of her surroundings. An absolute delight to know, and oh yes, just chattering away in baby talk in 2 languages (French and English)
Therefore, it was difficult to see her listless, and cranky from fever. One night she seemed so sick, that my granddaughter (a recently graduated nurse) contacted ER at the local hospital.
We have been assured however, that that scary time has passed and she is on the road to recovery. I can breathe again! and my new goal, is to have another few weeks in which to visit her.
