With a dry heat one can be desiccated as Arid and disposed statistics ... info? Hell of an extraction ...

As expressed ... denied by authority that demands protocol ... gram Eire Caul as laid down on lambskin ...

I jumped awake....as did my husband, who startled enough to give a wrench to his back.
I get the need, just wish there was a way to say "hey, they're sound alseep, and not on the road".
My phone knows when i am sleeping, it shuts itself down...wish it could say "no to child alert but yes to tornado alert"

Good morning! As this area of the world enters into a heat spell, as we mull over Amber Alerts at 'WTF o'clock' a.m., the coffee cart is ready tohost your discussions and conversations. Enjoy.

Good morning,
Nova Scotia’s hot day has started with fog which is now slowly lifting. I bet the gardens really enjoy that humidity before the heat. I have read this morning on German news that Trump has announced he will be back in the Oval Office by August ( did they offer him a housekeeping job?).
Reading Obama’s book is actually quite insightful. His personal struggles and reflections on his attitude towards issues as a young man - from the outside- versus how he felt once he was actually in charge. He questions himself if he hasn’t been “ radical” enough , following his convictions, but then as a President, having the responsibility to deal with the actual crisis in the moment does change things. I am growing quite fond of him.
The book also helps to understand how the system works and how it can happen that a Trump can follow on an Obama. He describes signs for rising popularism as an influence on politics as well as the change in the role of the media. Really recommend reading it.

Hint, most "pay as you go" cell plans don't get those alerts. They're also dead useless outside of Canada, but I either travel with my sister (who has a real phone with a real plan) and/or go visit my cuz in the U.K. who has all the necessary bells and whistles (makes his phone into a hot spot so I can connect my tablet for updates, e-mails, etc.

Upside, never woken at night.

I have an ancient smartphone, which seems to be immune to weather warnings and Amber alerts and such. I suppose I should update it, but it still works fine, for now

Good morning, all and sundry! Happy Sunday! Still hot here. Be that as it may, the coffee cart is ready, in air-conditioned comfort. Let us gather in spirit and enjoy.

If it is in an unlocked phone and you're going to be in the destination for a while, buy a local SIM card and some minutes after you arrive at your destination. That's what we did when we were in the UK a couple years ago. And often in China (though there my b-i-l usually has a spare SIM or even phone around that we can borrow).

Good morning. It's promising to be a rainy day here today. We plan to take today as a day of sloth rest. We did a hike yesterday that was supposed to be 8 kms. It turned out to be more like 11.5. It was probably two or three kms too many for me. Blind stubbornness and will got me to the finish line. I slept like the dead last night and feel not too bad today.

We had a little bit of soft rain overnight, but it's going to be another stinker today. I'm working this afternoon, and I go to work in my long sleeved t-shirt because grocery stores are air conditioned quite heavily (and my arms are currently a bit messy looking; what the hell do I do to my elbows?), then I die when I leave work...

That sounds like a good workout yesterday, Northwind. Sounds like a Tabitha sorta walk, LOL.

Sloth ... that still, dark voice coming from a hard place to figure? The understood God ... theosophy?

Greetings! Time to rise and shine! The coffee cart is up and running, coffee, tea, etc. for all. Help yourself to the beverages and the company.

Thinking of Muslim friends, London first responders, and all people who live with hate
Oh, going to look up info. I had heard of the 4 people who died after being struck and a 20 year old was arrested, not much info at all though.

Good morning, all. We express our shock and grief at the events in London on Sunday evening, and the subsequent revelations of yesterday. As we gather round the coffee cart, let us remember this particular family, the Muslim community of greater London, and the worldwide community of all those who experience hatred and violence on a regular basis.
