If they need to hold back, I hope they can move ahead with the 12 week schedule. What's the point of an off label delay otherwise? Doesn't offer some protection to more people and the delay would just mean people are going an extra 4 weeks with less protection than what they could potentially have.

AS of yesterday any Albertan born in 2009 or later is eligible for a shot. Well over 100 000 appointments were booked yesterday.

When my partner got into the queue around 9 yesterday morning there were 86000+ people ahead of her, same when I got on with the church computer. At lunch time we were down to 4900 people and about 8 minutes to wait on Patty's phone when my eldest hit the screen to keep the phone awake and managed to hit the "Leave the List" link. Good thing the church computer was still in the queue.....

ELdest 3 have their shots booked for the long weekend (both Patty and I had our first shots in mid April)

Ontario still doesn't seem to have a plan for 12-15 (unless someone else has heard something). Local health unit is expecting 18+ to open for booking May 27 but that's dependent on the province.

Oh that moment of shock & dread & nausea - OMG what did I do???? It seems to have worked out tho with your 'back-up' in place!

New system is coming for a 1 site booking option. Ie. it will cover mass clinics, pharmacies, and doctors offices. Not just for covid either. Sounds good that they are making use of this for something longer term - if it works well.

Astrozeneca vaccines are now stopped in 3 provinces, including Ontario. Now those who already had one will have to wait to see which vaccine will be compatible for the second vaccine dose.

Ontario and Alberta have only stopped 1st doses. Remaining supply, in Ontario at least, will likely be used for second doses, which are apparently less prone to the clotting based on what the UK has found.

Plus AB will give 1st doses of AZ to anyone who can get that one but not an mRNA.
Reasons for stopping general 1st doses are different. Here it's lack of supply.

Ah yes... and yet, ..... .I can hear the pitter patter of feet, running in the opposite direction towards another vaccine for the second dose.

Let's not forget that Canada approved a national compensation vaccine injury program last year for those who suffer adverse effects from any of the vaccines:

What sort of compensation can you expect if this happens?

Well so far, I can't see that we have any amounts in place or what would qualify anyone:

Ontario announced today that 12-17 year-olds will start in June. Makes sense since 18-29 starts last week in May by current timeline.

40+ can book for mRNA (the ones who haven't already done AZ) starting tomorrow so if you know anyone in that group, pass it on.

It seems it's experimental because it's all new. The FDA has not approved it. It is being as an emergency measure even without their blessing.

It is a strange thing but hopefully worth it in the long run. A bunch of cars went by a friend last week with a megaphone shouting
down with vaccines. Wow.... that was a shock to hear. It takes all kinds I guess. I am still writing for my 2nd shot delayed a few months...
hoping it's not too late. I'll take only the Pfizer again.

As for nutrition it is God's plan that we all be healthy but, it doesn't stop everything from affecting us. However, when you are basically healthy you can fight off a lot more than when you're not healthy.

Chemguy is out "catching" his vaccine. After his May 14th appointment being cancelled he got one in June, but checking multiple times moved him up! One day later not so bad, although it is an AHS clinic which I hope we could both avoid.

Barrhead has too many Johns and Judiths

Ontario was at 56% of the eligible population yesterday (?). Let's get it to 70%

Though, I do wonder, as they expand the eligible ages, then the % should drop, as there are more in the population. I'm curious about how they are measuring.

Eligibility has been 12+ for a little while if going by Health Canada.
AB has been doing 12 year olds for weeks.
