God as Father?

It is probably well near time that we developed a bit of maturity and realized that there will be no one name and no one qualifier that will speak identically to all people. So you might have a hard time with Master or Lord. So what? I don't and that is how I address God. I might have a problem with however you choose to identify God. So what? If it is what works for you then go for it. I can have a relationship with God even if yours is dramatically different and if your relationship with God suffers just because you can't control how I address God your biggest problem is not your relationship with God but you desire to control me.

I love this, but what if someone sees God as a violent vengeful God and thus believes that they are doing Gods will by forcing others to convert, should we speak out against this or are we desiring to control others just as much by insisting that God is love?

Eg: God says not to kill/murder in the ten commandments but in the same breath kills 3000 people for worshiping the Golden calf.

How can we ignore this side of God by insisting He is all loving?

Weird, flexy God,
can be anything,
shapeshifter and chameleon in one,
can also be his son,
and left or right wing:
Hail and Hosanna,
weird, flexy God!

As soon as I see hymn lyrics, I have to parody them.
Thanks for the parody. Have to admit that tends to be my reaction to that particular hymn as well. It says anything and everything about God, which means that it says nothing, which means that anyone can say anything about God in the same vein - as you just demonstrated. #268 in Voices United is on my permanent "do not ever choose" list. Just my opinion, of course. For those who love it - sing loud and strong!

And ever after tanned women covered their legs ...

Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the lord
He was driving down the highway in a 57 ford ... but some people say it was a chevy.

In my imagination, God trundles around in a beat-up old Ford Crown Vic but keeps a flashy Italian stallion hidden away for his "seventh day" fun trips. Poor St. Peter has to wash and wax the Ferrari at the beginning of every week.:D

Not every country follows the core values of our judaeochristian civilization
Actions are legal or illegal
Thoughts and freedom of speech aren't (tho there are still those who want to go back to the olde days...).

Things like forced conversion, female genital mutilation (a big case in the USA is being prosecuted right now), illegal occupation of countries etc we as Christians should be upset aboot and acting against (within our laws)

But first we have to get ourselves in order...

I'm sure all of those things started with a thought and then progressed.

I'm not talking aboot copyright here :3
Some of the things that you hold 2 be self evident, like other countries and individuals should be respected, is judaeochristian

Now if one accepts in old languages "Jude'n" meant powerful .... was Judeaochristian ... a powerful light (lambda) ...

Could be flash back happening at death ... but how would we know without the experience? Ghastly theory right?

Thus is rough on people that would prefer to know nothing so they could claim naïveté ... and wear white wraps and shrouds ... the fabric thereof could fascinate people for a couple of millennia ...

Can we relate Roman to militancy? How about some notorious Italians? Machiavelli!

"Free speech is not a value, like mercy or justice: it's the fundamental problem-solving mechanism of humanity. "
Jordan Peterson

Article by Pinker on How Freedom of Speech is Fundamental

The US just happens to be the first country founded on these JudaeoChristian principles and is the largest market (of ideas etc) who are spreading it to the our fallen world

Despite what Satan (Christianity is "just" another belief, we shouldn't bee proud of our achievements, we have done evil and therefore everything we do is wrong, you got your appropriation in my culture, etcetcetc) tries to tell us

LA DI DAH!!!

We are all imperfect and prone to recall ... to some the recollection may be too late for reconstruction ... and accommodation of the commodious! Thus the rein is boo'd ... not a rain bo ... it'll not wash ...

Hi,

There is a quality I admire in both mothers and fathers. The ability to listen carefully and respond lovingly. I no longer make use of gender pronouns when praying at home or in public. My go to choice is "listening one".

In the same way that I know the living one as listener, I feel called to be a listener in and through all my relations. An ability increasingly present in proportion to my intimate relations with the living one who hears me.

I suppose the one who listens is well named "I am who I am becoming". This pronounced dynamically rather than statically. Though there is a tendency to move from the dynamic to the static.

Hi,

Truly noted. Working at the best possible me is key to working for the best possible world

Which I fail at again and again and again

The truth is something that burns, it burns off deadwood and people don't like having their deadwood burnt off often because they're 95% deadwood - Jordan Peterson

Have you seen this one? I watched it the day he posted it ... quite intense but does address the topic of this thread passionately.

Amen
The Truth in judaeochristianity...despite all these Satans trying to destroy it (nihilism, totelitarianism, communism, statism, moral reletavism, etc)
Its worth hearing it again
