at any rate, it has now come out that WE was sending around two proposals to get some government work and money in April and that this fiasco of a project to pay kids to volunteer was likely their idea. And guess what

they are not Lobbyists so they can’t do that

The altar lies are so much clearer ... go for what's deeper in the narrative ... however the heavy handed doesn't like deep!
 
I was wondering where such a bizarre idea could come from. The sad thing is that the party most likely to benefit from this fuss is even more corrupt than the Liberals.

Life is like that ... if not chaos ... anarchy for some unknown beefit to god knows who ... only the devil knows because of all the reclaimed psyche/sol at termination! These may glow in the distance as a seminal indication of vast unknowns ... barely illuminated!

Underneath the darkness ... a vast smouldering as a smudge!

Just saw that no long ago. The plot thickens. The Conservatives need to be on this with a credible leader, though. Scheer isn't prime minister for good reason. So August 21, the day the leadership vote results are announced, is going to be a key date, I think.

It is a strange story made even stranger by the fact that the civil servant who testified is the sister of the former Clerk who got into trouble over SNC Lavalin

she did say she called Craig. She did say she recommended that they could do the jo

but it is very odd that they were not lobbyists but circulating a proposal to various ministers
and very odd that the day it was announced they had a proposal ready to be submitted

also, looking at the idea now, it makes very little sense. There would be other ways to assist young people without jobs, certainly just forgoing tuition would be one thing

so I find it very strange when ministers say things like the entire cabinet was in favour. No one thought it strange? No one thought it was a ton of money to pay one group. $45 million?

so why the total support? Because Justin wanted it? Because Katie Telford championed it?

i would hoe that cabinet has some people who might challenge the status quo occasionally or are they just rubber stamping?

The plan to pay students less than minimum wages ... is this resolutely politic ... or religiously adherent to poverty, abeyance and chastity if no one addresses the deficiencies in a very gross contract!

It appears to be totally against the little folks whether Liberal of Sheer altar ... knee breaking? God such chit brings me to bottom line ... out of the black as Christs Purse was depleted! So today the paper reports that WE was in financial trouble and it wasn’t disclosed And the government never assessed the financial reports of this business before planning to pay them $45 million

and that Morneau took two trips to the tune of $41,000 that he neglected to pay back. Until today!

and it seems quite odd the amount of real estate that this hybrid charity / business has. $45 million in real estate. One large block on Queen street East in the Cabbage town area ( for non torontonians a very trendy yet run down area. )

there are a lot of questions

yesterday the clerk said that it was inconceivable that a billon dollar package would be rolled out without the prime minister and finance minister involved

and the question has been raised how they were able to submit a proposal for the government plan the day it was announced. Supposedly without anyone in the government discussing it? And the minister for youth neglected to mention. Oops. I had a phone call the week before but this plan didn’t come up

the question has been raised was this government plan specifically designed to assist WE with their financial difficulties

did anyone know that the money just travels back and forth between WE the charity and all the other WE involved businesses? Seriously!
 
And now I read that in fact the government gave 900 million dollars not to WE charity but to WE charity Foundation. Which was created two years ago to hold the $45 million in real estate assets

this is one very convoluted “charity”. They pop into Africa to do “good “ works with rich North Americans. They own a tremendous amount of real estate. Oddly one of the Keilburgs parents is in real estate. Or perhaps that isn’t odd??

the finance minister is in the ropes. For accepting a $41,000 gift vacation. Honestly, did they not learn from the Aga Khan fiasco?

and apparently the finance minister, who is cutting a cheque for $900 million didn’t know it was going to the sketchy foundation?

what is this? Kick back? Illegal ? Liberal corruption? Or is it better to think it is ineptitude??? Do you want our government to be so inept and casual and careless with $900 million?

and Calls for Morneau to resign. Always things like this call for resignations. But this is not the first time our finance minister is pretty casual with money. His own, ours, his gifts
and now, with so much debt run up over the COVID emergency we are having a government crisis. Of their own making

who will get thrown under the bus. I bet Baddash. But maybe Morneau. We know it won’t be our boy Justin don’t we
 
And amazingly Morneau ‘s wife Has donated $100,000 to WE in two $50,000 chunks

one chunk right before their daughter was hired. Honestly what do these people not get about this

and None of this was necessary. They were already giving students assistance. They could have increased that help. students In financial diffficultiy could have applied for more. They could have allowed them to get CERB

and the WE foundation was only going to have students to on line virtual volunteering. Not actual deliver food or whatever volunteering

trudeau is now going to testify I guess they hope he can clear the air. But he is not a good thinker in his feet so it’s hard to see that working out too well. Although I suppose when it is on line testimony he could have an ear bud in with a better thinker feeding him lines.

and will he lay the blame on someone. You bet he will and it won’t be him. He is like Trump that way. Never his fault

Isn’t it wonderful that in our democracy, these facts come out, can be discussed publicly and no journalist finds himself in jail or killed over it.
 
Each article in the paper gives more confusing dates. Who talked to whom on what date. Oh but we didn’t give them a heads up. Or gee maybe we did but it was because they were already proposing something. And it wasn’t our idea it was the civil servants. Well maybe we sort of suggested they call our buddy Craig. Look at the finances of a company we are giving $45 million to, gosh no, we didn’t do that. The whole cabinet was in favour. Because why? None of you cabinet members thought gee this is a weird proposal. We contacted 12 organizations to discuss this idea before we gave it to WE. So what organizations. What did they have to say about this stupid idea . Get them to testify please

how about why does Trudeau keep putting his foot in things. Who is supposed to be watching him. It is obvious that he doesn’t think well on his feet. He is the pretty boy light weight we have always thought but at least he was charming. And everyone was reassured that he surrounded himself with people much much smarter than him. So he just had to be the pretty face. And yet the smarter people are either gone or else are not so smart. Anyone looking at this could see it was a very strange proposal. As soon as it was announced, that day the media had torn it apart. And it only gets murkier
 
it Makes me wonder what else has been screwed up during this outpouring of money. We know they screwed up CERB by just handing it out to anyone and stating they wouldn’t worry about potential fraud. And of course after that nice announcement there were tons of fraudulent claims. . Good luck getting it back. Today it was announced lots of people got double payments. And of course unlike a pay cheque taxes weren’t withheld. and I get that, they wanted people to get money they needed. But how many of those people are going to be shocked when they realize they should have banked 20% to pay for the taxes on it

I feel like the government is being run by school children.

What is screwed up? Everything ... because of denial in high places that these leaders whatever pole ... feel they are entitled to a big peace of the Pi ... an unusual number! Then only a few brute folks are emotionally strong enough to believe they can get away with it ... and yet cure the evil of the altarnate powers ...

What's altar nate? Nate is a wisdom that's beyond us as yet as we deny knowledge of mostly anything ... a human condition!

I have to confess that I sometimes feel similarly.

Only problem is, that when I look at Stephen Harper's record on the environment in history, DoFo's assault on EVERYTHING vulnerable, particularly the elderly and the environment, then I am forced to listen to that idiot, Scheer, and I'm not even going there with the frigwit in Alberta, and then I see what the "right wing" has devolved to south of the 49th, I think,

"But I don't want the government to be run by psychopaths", so there is that, if we're stuck in a two-party system.
