TRUMP - Some people think......... How do you feel?

Here's an article I was reading about the speech tactics, btw. It's fishy. It was such a blatant rip off - too close to be accidental - but I had a feeling that was done on purpose, anyway. He doesn't care. That's small potatoes for big publicity.

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/live/2016/jul/19/republican-convention-live-rnc-2016-trump

I think he's been playing the "any publicity is good publicity" game all along though so it's not a surprise if he were to do it again, and again.

And the movie director I was thinking of is David Mamet. Maybe Trump will drop out last minute and wait for movie offers (oh please do take the movie and TV offers instead!)...it's more financially lucrative and less stressful than being president. But unless Hillary wins, that would leave the world with President Pence, anyway. :(

The Man Who (Almost) Sold the World - the movie.

It would be huuuuge at the box office! The biggest movie ever! You did that so good! Come on Donald, take the movie offers instead! (They're probably already coming in)

Trump now officially has the delegate votes to be the Republican candidate. Next step, the White House.

Donald J. Trump has now been elected as the official Republican candidate for the office of the President of the United States of America.

Of all the Simpsons jokes that could possibly play out in real life, please not this one.

For those who are anxietying over the GOP fest

May I present a Canadian comedy "yidlife crisis"

Starring 2 close friends...one an orthodox the other a secular Jew... living midrash...@Graeme Decarie might particularly enjoy this as I remember his fondness for jewish montreal...

I caught some of the convention an hour ago - Donald Jr.'s angry tone was too much. Hard to listen to and watch. Imagine working for a manager like that? Yikes. He was sure warm n' fuzzy. And Chris Christie...it was like the Jerry Springer Show.

And I saw about the last 10 seconds. Am I correct that the last speaker was a Muslim American?

Oh, man. Where's the Donald going with this? Hillary's going to, understandably, focus on calling out his remarks about various minorities and he's picking people to try to brush those same remarks under the carpet.

I've been watching a great deal of yesterday and today. I felt both Trump Jr. and Christie gave great speeches. Regarding Christie's, the Republicans and general viewing public alike needed to be informed/reminded of Clinton's record.

He basically closed the night's proceedings (save for the motion to adjourn) with prayer.

Or to correct misconceptions spread by the liberals and the liberal-controlled media.

Interestingly, Christie is in the middle of a legal scandal of his own involving the deletion of emails and texts, to do with politically motivated illegal lane closures on a bridge ( Clinton shot back with a "we've got a bridge to sell you" remark. Lol.) ...and he had the nerve to make a quip about Hillary's emails - and not being trustworthy because of her handling of them (Oh, he supposedly lost the cell phone with the texts in question ordering the illegal actions - Guilty or Not Guilty?) - and how she should've given Putin a symbolic "delete" button instead of a "reset button" he said "she's good at that"...when he's being questioned for doing the same...what nerve! AND ... Trump is the one who said he and Putin would get along great and didn't he say something similar about China? Trump's team is full of bull.

So...Trump plays Sympathy for the Devil at his rallies, and Ben Carson - the neurosurgeon - was going on tonight about Hillary Clinton and Lucifer. Too much. Too much. Wow. This is the freakiest election ever. I guess that's why I'm watching.

Carson gave a wonderful and (surprisingly for him) enthusiastic speech. A small part of that was, yes, that he mentioned that one of Clinton's intellectual heroes dedicated a book he wrote to Lucifer. As Carson pointed out, Clinton made an odd choice for a hero in a country that has on its money, "in God we trust."

At the Democratic Convention, they may choose to go after Christie. This was the Republic Convention, and a detailed list of Clinton's activities was certainly in order. As I watched on YouTube and chatted in the chatroom, many of the other chatters were posting, "Hillary for prison!"

They were chanting "Lock her up" on the convention floor. That's not a political convention, it's an Ultimate Fighting championship. They sound bloodthirsty. I've never seen anything so obnoxious - even in any other U.S. Election year.

Money is their God. And Trump is a money man. His whole career has been about making huge money. And he'll do business with anyone, to that end. Kind of ironic hearing Donald Jr. talk about the rich elites.
