TRUMP - Some people think......... How do you feel?

After being thoroughly roasted for the "Trumpence" logo - it was taken down, now it just says "Trump Pence" ... People made a joke of its sexually suggestive appearance, but it's actually darker ... It looks (the one that was taken down) really a lot like an Aryan Nations logo which is also red white and blue - with a cross going through an N. But instead people saw sex implied. It's in one of the tweets in several of today's stories. An eerie accident or not? That would be the second time in weeks he used offensive symbols "accidentally".

That it's red, white and blue is no big deal. That it resembles somewhat a cross going through an N may be more ominous.

He's an evangelical nutcase who wanted to legalize religious discrimination in Indiana. He is there to get out the Christian Right vote. The GOP are going to try that route once again. Those numbers are lower than they were 4 years ago, and especially 8 years ago, when they tried similar things.

What are Republicans going to do when non-believers start to overtake Christians in the U.S.? Are they going to start pretending like they've cared about the nones all along?

Nun's, Nu's and pneumatic thinkers who bleu wit as Nous was rejected ... relate it to Wiki on demiurge ... that could be a charge against demure ante kneads ... or rental rates against empty transfer containers! Demure ... a word indicative of something denied ... like a critter of alternate thought to the Trump Drawn into a ridiculous spectacle ... a particular oddity in spatial sense!

An incident in time not noted by many voters that are just bote' n about! Bode 'n enigma ... exclusionists of the other kind ... exterior spark in's?

To my eye, the supposedly plagiarised phrases are such generic, motherhood and apple pie blather than it hardly matters. Variations of this have probably been spouted by politicians and their spouses many times in many forms. Could Melania or her writer(s) have nicked some of them from Michelle's speech or at least been inspired by it? Sure. But it's hardly highly original stuff in the first place. There are far better things to go after the Trump campaign for (like, you know, the whole banning Muslims thing).

......... it doesn't matter to Trump's devout followers....
There is no reasoning with bigotry...... Trump is their hero that will give them the right, power, and justification for their hate.
.......... and the RNC has to hold their nose and swallow whatever comes out of Trump's mouth.
This is terrifying..........

I think some lines were obviously lifted from Michelle Obama. I'm kind of with Mendalla on how I feel about it. What I was really thinking as Melania spoke was that she was simply being used by the Donald so that he'd have a chance to walk out on stage at the start of the convention and bask in cheers and applause. Nothing wrong with candidate's spouses appearing and speaking about their spouse, but the actual candidate almost never appears until after being nominated. This was just a way of feeding his narcissism. And did you notice how very, very few of the delegates (at least from what I saw) were black? The Republican Party truly has become the party of "White America."

Having said that, a couple of days ago CNN reported on some recent polls from various sources. They all suggest that nationwide Clinton has a decent lead, but that in the swing states that actually decide presidential elections (like Florida and Ohio and Pennsylvania) Clinton and Trump are virtually tied. Meaning that it wouldn't be a shock to see Clinton win the popular vote but Trump win the electoral vote and become president. Another interesting poll reported that in Utah - which has been solidly Republican forever - Clinton is ahead. The thinking is that Mormons (who dominate Utah) are sensitive to the idea of a minority religious group being bashed and targeted the way Trump is doing with Muslims, and so they're turning against him in what might be an unexpected Mormon-Muslim sympathy vote.

Sometimes people elect terrifying governments because what they have needs a serious tune up.

Every day is one day closer to sweeping Notley under the rug and lesson learned.

In the mean time, I am selling Donald Trump hats and tee shirts to make ends meet like all other Albertans. I am counting on your support.

I would buy a Berman hat and tee shirts.

Parts of it were clearly plagiarized, but it's a publicity stunt... One of those ..."Bad publicity is better than no publicity" things, and it's a red herring. To sway people's attention. And...what can anyone do about it? The Obama team could try to sue, then Trump would counter sue for something else... And all of it seems to play into Trump's hand. And already his team is blaming Hillary for Melania's speech (because the same speech writer for Michelle is a speech writer for Hillary? Is that the twisted logic - I read the headline about that but who even knows it's so weird). He's a dangerous man. That I'm pretty sure of. "The nature of his game", not so sure. He is playing the ultimate con game so people are looking the other way while he pulls a fast one. It reminds me of those movies in the 90's - can't remember the director's name. Just when you think you know the plot, you don't. Don't look at Melania, or how pretty and put together she is, or her educational credentials or lack thereof - or her speech - but check up Trump's sleeves very closely. He is not playing by any rules of decency. None. And Hillary is trying to do her campaign honestly but he's got a con response for everything!

I'd like to see some GOP speakers call Trump out at the podium. It'll ruin their careers but could save the world.

Most of the ones who would likely call him out are ones who skipped, like the Bush dynasty and Kasich, or the agitators on the floor who will never get anywhere near the main mike. I get the feeling that Ryan would like to but his role as speaker and chairman of the convention forces him to toe the line. When there is no opposition left, these conventions are basically designed to be coronations of the winner who has already been determined, not a last chance to stop the winner. We'll see the same at the Dems convention next week.

I wouldn't. I say let the man speak. Let him share his ideas with America. Let him continue to dig himself into a deeper and deeper pit.
