I have spent the day writing thank-you cards: 25 & counting. it wouldnt' take so long if I wasn't particular about who gets what card and the message put in them. Thankful that I had a day to do them, and thankful it kept me sitting quietly and saving energy.

These cards fall in the "better late than never"category of my life.

Heh ... following incidents are preferred ... especially when you think as following hermeneutic ... a cognizance thingy ...

Pinga - I fall in the camp of It is NEVER Too Late to send a Thankyou card or card expressing sympathy or congratulations. Once I received a sympathy card from a person who hadn't heard earlier about my mother's death. It was accepted thankfully even though the death had occurred six months earlier. She acknowledged that it was a carefully considered choice on her part.

Such a personal touch ... the art of the thank-you letter is fast becoming lost I think. I'm sure each note will be felt to carry your special love.

It will be gone when script ion and hand-written stuff are replaced by machine generated emotions ... which is not intelligent!

Some mean line may be taken up ... as central to the paradigm curve or the majority bent ... all out of shape with obese spirit ... fat heads?

Hoo said pigs don't fly ... have you looked deeply into high places: business, government and belief systems? Is there a forth coming light of darker hue? Then we lean where thought processes go to rest ... at the bottom of an ole thing ...

Now "nole" can be converted to Mollie with two spirits (nn) that'd be the Greek η, sometimes appearing as the Cyrillic Ѝ ... or holy let air ... aspiration? In the Celt it is Eire and now as remembered things fro past and sometimes consequence ... or knowing a bit of future ramifications ...

Populations of letters gets a wholly Nous understanding ...

Give me a hug, and a hot toddy - Seelerman and I spent last evening (7:00 pm - 1:30 am) at the hospital - Seelerman experiencing severe abdominal pain that gradually subsided. Back at the hospital this morning (7:30 am) for ultrasound. Gallstones and inflamed gallbladder. Since the pain is gone for now, we've opted for elective surgery - hopefully within 4 to 6 weeks, maybe sooner - rather than emergency surgery which is more complicated and has a longer recovery time. Pills to control any minor flare-ups. Instructions to head for the hospital if it becomes severe.

Let's see: Seelergirl - recovering from shingles
Older sister's husband - recently had prostrate surgery
Younger sister - operated on for breast cancer two days ago

Why me, Lord? What did I do to deserve this? (All these shall pass. Seelergirl is already back to work. Despite his age and poor health, bil came through his surgery well. Sister's surgery went well. Seelerman is generally healthy - people at the hospital couldn't believe he is 81.)

Hopefully it's all over and done with, except the surgery, and now everyone can rest!

Seeler, rough week or two for you. Sounds like Seelerman may not be enjoying his Christmas meal as he might have been. The good news is he will feel better once the surgery is completed. Take care of yourself

Ooh goodness Seeler ... there's never a good time for these things, and so much going on at once. I hope you will make sure to take care of YOU in the midst of this - so important. Gentle hugs to you - wrap yourself in your prayer shawl and know you are loved and not alone.

Deep sigh, what a wonderful day.

Started early as husband left for the airport and I then caught a few more zzz's, the did some cookies.

After that, oldest son came home and after some visiting and hugging, we went shopping for my husbands gift aka dad while youngestson did gifts with dad. Then came home, did some work on Internet presence and software for oldest sons new business, then oldest, youngest and I went to cora's for brunch, then back home to work more on business, then oldest son and dad went shopping, then home, more business, then oldest son, youngestson and I went shopping, then put lights on christmas tree, then dinner, then oldest son and I went to movie while youngest son went to reserves. Now football is being watched

Tomorrow morning is Christmas for our family. Overnight breakfast will soon go in fridge.

I prepared in advance, then slept and relaxed so I could fully enjoy every minute of this visit. Love driving around and catching up, hearing the stories and the dreams. Good for my soul. He will be with friends out of town tomorrow evening through Saturday so will catch up on rest then

A nice surprise yesterday - my sisters Kae and Suzanna, and nephew Tee, came and took Mom out to lunch. They then decorated our place for the holidays, and even left some leftover lasagna for my supper :)

Merry Christmas Pinga.
Such a busy time for all of us.
Nice family time Jae.

Except for tired after hours at the hospital (and I'm not complaining - there were waits for tests, and for test results to be read, for the medical stafff to consult, etc. and so on - but never once were we asked 'how will you be paying for this?' ) we are both OK. Seeelerman is being very careful what he eats but after resting in the afternoon we went out to the square-dance Christmas potluck and dance and forgot our troubles for a short while.
He was very careful aat the potluck, choosing chicken breast, rice, raw vegetables without dip - and I indulged in wings, Ceasar salad, scalloped potatoes, sliced ham, etc and so on - and scrumpious desserts.
Sorry but my crockpot was scraped clean; not even a virtual nibble.
