I tried to trace out our steps as closely as I remember it using google maps...now you can, vicariously, travel with us with their interactive map

12.5 km?
with more than a few resttops (i made some experimental treats -- sausages wrapped in toasted soft tortillas cut up and a water bottle) -- thank goodness for McDonalds free restrooms & cheep pop (i still have some in my fridge -- one thing i've learned from my wife is the advantage of pouring one's endless mcdonalds pop into a water bottle for later consumption)
the pedestrian & cycling paths on the Lions' Gate Bridge used to be quite terrifying -- not only was the pavement cracked and there was NO RAILING between the traffic and you, but the sidewalk CANTED TOWARDS THE CARS...
now, it looks like this
(and yes, those are sphinxes on rent from Egypt -- they work literally for stories & the fearful thought or two by absentminded motorists not paying attention to traffic)
Saint Paul's Indian Catholic Church was neet -- strange to see such lofty church spires poking up from such an ordinary suburb and foliage...they have a garden nearby that has plaques, starting with 'creation' at one end, then going to 'transition' then at the other end 'tranquility'
now on that google map, you can zoom in to each area and go to 'street view' to see the surroundings...you could travel through stanley park, over the bridge...
