Wanted to get on my bike, but relaxed instead.

Little M is out on his new bike (been gone something like three hours at this point) but my bike is in the shop and his old bike is in too shitty a condition for me to use it for anything more than short jaunts so I'm grounded for today. :(

Just sitting on my porch swing, after spending the afternoon gardening :-) Rum & coke, computer, sunshine, quiet neighbourhood .... lovely! Last night I started the bulky part of the reading for GC .... got through a bout 60 of the 378 pages in the first document

It's a beautiful summer day here in TO. Went to church this morning. The Senior Pastor gave an excellent sermon on the children of God vs. the children of Satan. After worship, some friends, my Yobo and I went to McDnlds for lunch followed by Dry Qn for dessert (mmm, Blzzrds). Now I am going for a nap, followed by some homework. Working on a critical book review on the text New Testament Social Ethics for Today.

So you are bi-sit 'd ... immobile? Remember the children of Satan (satyrs) are out looking for the tree of logos ... somehow related to reason ... and rational?

There are those that believe in only irrational decisions ... emotional you know ... not allowed any extensive knowledge that is ... out there!

There was God and the devils advocate ... the devil was off somewhere meditating ...

The Bishop of Myra said that Love (god) was all over the place ... but obviously the advocate had recessed (as Moses, couldn't be found) a hard thought buried deep in the anchor stone ... ba sly & and all ... s(line) as cumulative strings?

The Psalms are among my favorite parts of The Bible. Much power in the poetry and a emotional range from despair, to humility before the Divine, to rapturous joy and praise.

Yep. I get to preach from one on July 19th. My choice of text, so long as it's somewhere in Psalm 41-45.

Took my Dad down to a local hotdog stand for dinner tonight. It is a classic place down by the river, sit out on picnic tables, have a good chat and enjoy the fresh air. Did him good to be outside. I had hoped for a better restaurant that has a patio, but, it was closed when we went by. Couldn't bring him to my home, as my husband has been sick the lsat few days.

Feeling a bit grumbly about something ...which I shouldn't, as it is third hand, but, is just part about why I am not at church.
The church that I am a member of, but not attending, has voted to explore uniting with 2 other churches, and that they would abide by whatever the outcome was.
My Dad told me today, that he was chatting with a fellow church member about the progress of the program. As they were talking, this other person said, well, the other church will never come to our church because of the queers. Now.....my dad doesn't use that word, or well, he hasn't when I have been around for years. I could tell it was bugging him or he wouldn't have said it.
I am more ticked, that the message is being circulated as acceptable ie, yes it is a legitimate reason not to pick our church as it is affirming. ugh, how ugly.

Do they sell foot long hot dogs pinga? They were a big special treat when I was a kid! There's still a hot-dog place near the RBG in Burlington that advertises them on their sign - makes me smile every time I see it!

hi carolla, not footlong, but lots of good toppings. It is in the mill works area of Cambridge *(Galt), and you can climb over the little bluff and sit on the levee on tables, enjoying the view of the river, go for a stroll (or a hike if you feel like walking longer). It's a good place to hang out.

Is a spirit experiencing humans astounded to the point of poem I'z soul? Now that's a spectre ... a variant in an area that humans demand fixation ... something to hang from ... thus the whine was sung with ... and all clapped to the tunes as elusive on Eire ... a Vesper 8 situation ... just afore nein ... with cattails ... or kitty cauls ... a lief turning in de night as the initial Aramaic letter ... a Semantic icon gone with a sigh'n or some small fertile remainder?

Humans are so shamed by natural functions ... like wee chits ... Bush people have no problem abusing them ... verily non-pragmatic ...

I see some people are biking or thinking about biking. Seelerman has been cleeaning out the shed. He dug out three bikes (he sold his at a yard sale two years ago). Seelerboy's 12-speed hasn't been used in ten years, had a lot of use previous to that, and looks rusty. A possible give-away or to be discarded. Mine - not used for several years and it is highly unlikely it will ever be used again although Seelerman pumped up the tyres and I'm temped to try a spin up the street and back. It was a gimme to me many years ago and is ready to be passed on. And the little purple bike that we kept here for our grandchildren - both have outgrown it but it still looks to be in good condition. Maybe kijji or a yard sale.
