Carolla, they seem to be here for most of the summer. It is just the last few years that I have actually seen them. Doesn't mean they weren't here before, I had just never seen them. There aren't lots . . . but you do see a few. We were quite a ways away from them, and I used a zoom lens, but it still isn't the clearest picture . . . also perhaps because he was moving and we were moving in the boat.
In my little cabin bay I've only seen two pelicans here, about two years ago.
Are th canoers sleeping under the stars.
We are getting a slight thunder, lightening, rain storm here . . . not a real cracker, but a bit.
I was up working in my garden late this afternoon and the sandflies were awful. I didn't realize how much I was getting bitten, but when I came back into the cabin my hubby notice I had welts all over my neck. Purplish, and a bit swollen - he told me they looked like hickies LOL. I put some aveno anti-itch lotion on them (like calomine lotion) and hopefully they will be good tomorrow.
Thinking of the celebrations in the USofA today as they celebrate July 4th.
Have a good night everyone!
