Thanks Myst.
Chemguy is amazing at this stuff. We usually disagree on the best vein though. Today he decided on one that the nurse recommended against, as it goes up and dips down, so depth wise it isn't straight. He did it perfectly, it went as well as the one I did last, minus some odd sensations but that has nothing to do with technique.

So much adventuring and connecting going on in our community ... wondercafe wonderfulness! Thanks to all who have posted updates -- to many to mention each & I'm afraid I might miss someone unintentionally. I love reading all your stories & seeing what everyone is up to.

@myst - when did mystchild get to be 16!! That 6 years flew by!

Good morning everyone!

Couldn't find a way of making this pic smaller, even though it is saved on my computer as 2" by 2" photo?

We saw a set of 7 of these pelicans when we were out on the water yesterday.

Hope your Friday and upcoming weekend is all you hope it to be. The best plans get way-laid . . . and then a switch to Plan B can be required. Roll with the flow.

Looks fine to me, Beloved. Unlike the old WC, large pics won't screw the formatting of the screen up too badly here. Main concern is that they can slow down the loading of threads for people on lower speed connections.

I think the pictures just default to fill the screen. The other option is to just post the thumbnail, and then people can click to see the full size.

Another hot day here, we never made it to the lake, napping on the couch where it was slightly cooler seemed too appealing :) Another day, when it's a bit cooler. Chemguy has some unofficial don't show up to work days :)

gorgeous pelican photo beloved! Do they migrate through your area or are they around for the whole summer? I don't know much about pelicans.

Carolla, they seem to be here for most of the summer. It is just the last few years that I have actually seen them. Doesn't mean they weren't here before, I had just never seen them. There aren't lots . . . but you do see a few. We were quite a ways away from them, and I used a zoom lens, but it still isn't the clearest picture . . . also perhaps because he was moving and we were moving in the boat.

In my little cabin bay I've only seen two pelicans here, about two years ago.

Are th canoers sleeping under the stars.

We are getting a slight thunder, lightening, rain storm here . . . not a real cracker, but a bit.

I was up working in my garden late this afternoon and the sandflies were awful. I didn't realize how much I was getting bitten, but when I came back into the cabin my hubby notice I had welts all over my neck. Purplish, and a bit swollen - he told me they looked like hickies LOL. I put some aveno anti-itch lotion on them (like calomine lotion) and hopefully they will be good tomorrow.

Thinking of the celebrations in the USofA today as they celebrate July 4th.

Have a good night everyone!

should I delete the photo Mendala, and just put the thumbnail there?

No, leave it for now. The occasional one isn't usually a problem. It's when you have an image thread (i.e. everyone posting images) that it tends to be a problem.

Another approach I've seen, other than thumbnailing (on vBulletin, not sure if it works with Xenforo), is to spoiler tag large images. That way, they only load if the person chooses to see them. Like this:

Good morning, crazyheart . . . (and everyone else seeking out the room) . . . how are you today?

It's a fine Saturday morning here in Manitoba (at least a little north of the "rain" zone) . . . sunny with some overcast . . . a little bit of a north breeze and a temp of 23C. Going to spend some time in my garden and puttering outside, and considering a swim.

Looking at pictures of the flooding in places in southern Manitoba (and Saskatchewan too) - sad!

Yes, I have 4 kids and my last child is 9 years younger then my other youngest. I was finished. hahahaha and then a surprise. It was a good thing to do. Kept us young and is why the difference in ages of grandchildren., Kimmio , in the Regina in a a few parts of the city they have sewer back up but the flooding is out in the small communities and the cottages.
The water is still rising and people are struggling . Some towns have evacuated but Manitoba now is in far worse shape from the
water flowing in from Saskatchewan.
