I got two monarch butterflies at my butterfly bush now for more than a week. Hope they put some eggs on my butterfly weed. How is it in your area of Canada- are monarchs a usual sight or rather rare?

There isn't much milkweed around me right now. I'll keep an eye out when I'm down in the little conservation area where I sometimes pass through while on walks. But I haven't seen monarchs much, if at all, of late. I've heard there have been issues with habitat destruction in the parts of Mexico where they winter.
 
Remember the great white north is nasty and we don't need them ... such is the automated call that needs no thought behind it ...

Does that explain something where nothing was?

Aye holes just appear out of know where ... an extent to be filled! Mystical ... some curiosity appreciated ...
 
Good morning! House maintenance issues, milkweed and monarch butterflies, plus whatever else comes up, it comes with us as we gather round the Coffee Cart to sort it out in our chats today. We also gather to drink coffee and tea, and enjoy the productions of our talented Wonderbaker. Today that worthy has made for us homemade English muffins, with some toppings and spread to enjoy with them. The coffee is freshbrewed, the tea water is boiling, the muffins are being toasted to order. All is ready, everyone welcome. Come join the fun!

If you're down this way, tried a restaurant a friend recommended last night.

Say Cheese is a fabulous arabic restaurant run by a couple. The food was delicious.

No idea where the name came from, as not a hint of cheese to be found on menu.

Had kibbeh , and a falafel wrap. Yummy.


Then went to a concert by Hawksley Workman at rare's silo barn

Great night with friend

But...my mind was wired up and couldn't get to sleep until 2:30.

Middle Eastern seems to be the cool cuisine of this decade or something. When Little M first moved to Ottawa (2017) he was amazed by how much shawarma and related there was in that city. Now even London is lousy with shawarma joints and we have a national chain (Osmow's). Great for those of us who love it. had lamb shawarma on a pita for lunch the other day.

Definitely in Canada. I can see it not landing that way in East Asia, though. It's closer to Western cuisine than East Asian (and closer to South Asian than Western for that matter). Also, Korea wouldn't have the large amount of immigration from the Middle East and South Asia that we have, which drove the initial spread of that cuisine.

That's true. It just seems to me living here that far too often when people post from the West, they post as though the West was everything. I've noticed that voice mostly from Americans, but this kind of comment, "Middle Eastern seems to be the cool cuisine of this decade or something" seems to me to fall into that too. I mean, it may be the trend in the West, but that doesn't mean it's the trend everywhere
 
Good morning! Saturday is here, the weekend is started. Looks like a rainy day for this area. Oh well... Anyway, the Room is open and the Coffee Cart is laid out nicely for us to gather round and converse, support, and connect. Whether it be concerts, restaurant recommendations, food trends, or whatsoever, we can chat about it here, over coffee, tea, and baked goodies supplied by the Wonderbaker. Today, those goodies are Belgian waffles, with several spreads and toppings to flavour them.
The tea water boils, the coffee is freshbrewed, and the first batch of waffles is ready to serve. All is ready, everyone is welcome. Come in and share in the conversations!

Especially the way the conflicts are escalating so as to tax the animal to death ... animal? We rename it tariff ... that's tar if'd point as iffy ... and dark!

Some do not know the beast it's elf as a small thing behind the eyes ... a seed in the brain wishing to encompass avarice (urge to control everything) and it just doesn't happen because of reactions that diminish the initial thing ... folk up in heaven?

They all come down eventually under the illusion of the flat earth system as it circulates in varied dimensions ... an unconscious thing ... although many do not believe there is an unconscious device ... far too abstract if you understand the concern! I may appear as a hole in space ... forming the greater part of space as we observe it ...

Sad what some people cannot see what we expand it to as we blow off ... wherever the wind goes ... one enlightened of our connection and anchorage ...

It is almost like a non existent power is overcoming the physical to make nothing of what was there primarily! Thus nothing is no well explained due to lack of evidence other than a story that dances all around the deficiency ...

If appears in this hard world that great leaders are not satisfied unless there are some great war games ... thus driving the peace air out and the atmosphere breaks down in abstract ( a dark mysterious concern). Concerns can grow into bother, worries and stress causing disorders that will ruin the entire base that the war was staged upon ... like a peculiar matter in psyche ( a stage of mind sometimes known as a state about to collapse).

If a unified state is about to collapse could those enveloped see the err in it of not respecting the action-reaction syndrome that may cause reflex? May only be a mental aberration ... Personality Disturbance like PTSD, etc. requiring the thing to go somewhere mute ... causing mutation ... a never ending cycle that you will forget, for sure, thus defining definite in the process a life being a hard thing to get thro' ... for at least 98% of the populace as folk extract more than they need ... creating the other side of what we imagine we need ... an abstract horde! Dark matter that was not observed ... few see it! I was marked that way ... thus generally un notable ...

I do pop into the glaring spots periodically ... expanding into a smear in what they thought was perfection ... alas naught! These can be turned into denied myths ... about monarchs running off ... high level meltdown! Some actually go over the edge and take everything with them that follows ... buffalo fallow ... appearing as a cloud on the horizon,
