There isn't much milkweed around me right now. I'll keep an eye out when I'm down in the little conservation area where I sometimes pass through while on walks. But I haven't seen monarchs much, if at all, of late. I've heard there have been issues with habitat destruction in the parts of Mexico where they winter.I got two monarch butterflies at my butterfly bush now for more than a week. Hope they put some eggs on my butterfly weed. How is it in your area of Canada- are monarchs a usual sight or rather rare?
Maybe in the West. I've not noticed it being a trend here in KoreaMiddle Eastern seems to be the cool cuisine of this decade or something.
Definitely in Canada. I can see it not landing that way in East Asia, though. It's closer to Western cuisine than East Asian (and closer to South Asian than Western for that matter). Also, Korea wouldn't have the large amount of immigration from the Middle East and South Asia that we have, which drove the initial spread of that cuisine.1

That's true. It just seems to me living here that far too often when people post from the West, they post as though the West was everything. I've noticed that voice mostly from Americans, but this kind of comment, "Middle Eastern seems to be the cool cuisine of this decade or something" seems to me to fall into that too. I mean, it may be the trend in the West, but that doesn't mean it's the trend everywhereDefinitely in Canada. I can see it not landing that way in East Asia, though.
