The park is very good at dealing with that stuff. They have zero tolerance. They've kicked people out after midnight for partying. I susoect the bad dog couple may have been involved with the drugs maybe I'm just hopeful that there will be a reason to kick them out.
 
I would think that a dog like that would be a particular concern for security given they might have to deal with that couple sometime over a party or something.
 
I agree. We sign an agreement when we go to the park longterm. There's a spot about agressive dogs. Also, the website rules say no aggressive dogs. That's one thing that frustrating. They didn't seem to think the dog was aggressive.

All pit bulls are aggressive. They're literally bred to be aggressive

I have been with and known pit bulls who have been absolute calm goofballs who the worst thing they would do to me is drown me in licks

You do realize that "pit bull" is a description of a wider group of dogs? Under pit bulls are also Staffordshire Terriers, Bulldog, Bully...

Its the owners that are the problem. Bad abusive owners lead to.problem dogs.

As always, when dealing with strange dogs, be wary. I let the strange dog come to me, proffering my hand for a sniff and I generally know doggo body language

My aunt (Dad's sister) is now in hospice. She 86 or 87 (need to check, forget her exact age) and hasn't been in the greatest health for years. Long COVID hit her hard for one. One of my brothers is keeping in touch with her son and passing information as he gets it. Her husband is 90 now (same age as Dad would be) and still seems pretty spry. Didn't even get COVID when she had it even though they were living together in fairly close quarters at the time. Something about being Swiss?

And we actually have a family next door now. Thirtysomething (by my estimate) couple with three young kids and nice doggo. We've had retirees on both sides for years so nice to see the neighbourhood started to get younger again. The couple across the street have a young kid, too. The house two doors over is still on the market. Not sure why it isn't moving faster. He signed on with the same agent as the house next door just after they closed.

Congratulations on not having the pit bulls snap in your presence. They have certainly snapped in the presence of plenty of others, including young children. Imho, there is no valid reason to have a pit bull as a pet. If they must be around at all, let them be guard dogs if they can be

Well I have shown your absolutist statement to be wrong. All pit bulls are aggressive.

Your statement wasn't aboot some pitbulls snapping in the presence of.some. I agree with that.

Everything else you write now is you changing the goal posts or moving the convo somewhere else that I did not respond to

Aggressiveness in dogs has everything to do with dog's history and ownership. As I've shared, I acquired my Lucy at age 18 months. I was owner #4, and she'd been in the pound twice. And she was a stupid cross - foxhound and husky. Farm dog.
 
From what I heard in pitbull discussion was that pit bulls has a specific way of biting and locking their jar which is particularly damaging to the victim and therefore death and damage from pit bulls is higher than from any other breed. I looked into that when I had the neighbours with pit bulls that they were hitting regularly.

Possibly the aggressE is being addressed by the aggressor that doesn't know he is a bully while acting differently while integrated! Like the dark MIR Syndrome about space that is unknown ... it is a heady domain and inflate 've when dosed with confidence that one must be right and the other ... well you know! Can a reason be derived from under this cover as subtle?

Thus we prepare to be all alone and suffer dementia ... I forgot the purpose for a bit ... attributing the alternate with the folly is populist!

The news this morning declared that populism is collapsing due to irrationality factors! Thus further extension of God knows what ... while we don't and we sacrifice much info, thought and intelligence for the night wash ... it is like being in the soe*wear ...

This, Luce, is a cosmic soup of philosophy! I love it.

Populism collapsing under the weight of irrationality is an ironic punchline. It's the natural consequence of trading wisdom for comfort that's at play. You know, sacrificing thought for the night wash, which is existentially terrifying.

As for the space-MIR syndrome. Let’s not dread dementia here
