Was going to say that I never met a butter tart I didn't like. But my daughter's are the absolute best.

Endless dribbling snow is definitely not enjoyable (unless your area needs future moisture). We are spoiled as a son comes over with the snowblower and keeps our yard safe for us. We share the blower actually. We paid for it, he stores and uses it.Hugs, kay, and thanks for mr curler's great love and attention to you. It makes all the difference. My big guy will curse me at a hundred paces, but also defend me to death. It's a real good thing.
On a selfish note, the shifting of snow this winter is getting very wearisome.
No, p3, we don't have an oven. We've lived in 6 apartments since coming to Korea, and not one of them had an oven. It's really pretty standard here that most homes don't. The closest thing Yobo and I have is an airfryer. Airfryer butter tarts? Perhaps worthy of investigation. I've never seen premade pastry shells, thoughDo you have an oven? Can you get premade pastry shells? Butter tarts are actually quite easy to make. Easier than you might think.
The most difficult step is making the pastry and that can be bypassed. The end product is still fantastic.
Airfryer butter tarts
They look good, thank you. The only problem may be this, "These butter tarts are made with simple pantry ingredients. You only need six ingredients plus a package of frozen tart shells" Still, I guess I could make my own pastry![]()

The lack of ovens and baked goods would one of the downsides for me if we ever moved to China. Doesn't seem likely to happen, though. They look good, thank you. Some people here just have a small oven that sits on a countertop. Others just have a toaster oven. Others have an airfryer. The most luxurious and modern of homes do have ovens like in CanadaThe lack of ovens and baked goods would one of the downsides for me if we ever moved to China. The chucking disabled kid story? Yeah, that was a thing I really did. If I've told it before, I apologize. The gist is Carter loved throwing himself around pre-injury, so after the injury it fell to me to throw him around. At Bloorview they had a play room staffed by a very knowledgeable therapist and a rotating gaggle of teenaged volunteers. When it was open and he didn't have an appointment, I'd drop him off. Dropping him off involved opening the door, getting him out of his chair (while he started giggling expectantly) and chucking him across the room an extremely careless distance into a pile of beanbag chairs, while new horrified high schoolers looked on and the therapist just shook her head, powerless to stop me and knowing that Carter loved every second of it.And @BetteTheRed and @chansen, my imagination got a boost with the images you provided.
