I will definitely pass that on to him. Yesterday one of the nurses at the hospital said "Us nurses are in awe of your husband. What a lovely person he is". Needless to say I passed that on as soon as I saw him again.

Please say hi from me as well.

Hugs, kay, and thanks for mr curler's great love and attention to you. It makes all the difference. My big guy will curse me at a hundred paces, but also defend me to death. It's a real good thing.

On a selfish note, the shifting of snow this winter is getting very wearisome.

Was in a grumpy mood this afternoon, when trying to park my car in our back parking area.
It never pays to do something when you are grumpy.
Just like the person who is grumpy and kicks a box, only to find that there is a bowling ball in it. ouch.
well, my car said ouch. Bumped the back deck with the upper edge of my trunk.

dang.

nothing big, hopefully can be popped out.

still didn't make me happy.

Anyone having wierd experiences with relatives that live in the US over the tariff stuff.

I'm experiencing my two canadian relatives who are green card holders in the US arguing regarding the role of americans in speaking out against trump.

One is adamant that by living in the US, you are making a choice, and therefore, are able to be tarred with the American brush.
The other is that no, that's not fair. We didn't vote for him.
and, the circle spins, and spins.

Fecking cars and winter crap. I have lost quite a few little bits from my car over the last winter. Bumped into a big truck behind me; lost part of decorative spoiler, crowded hard snowbank trying to avoid someone else backing out, took out most of lower front bumper-ish thing. Said to big guy, "when we win a million dollars, I just want a mini-sherman tank that I can just bumpercar around winter life without losing bits"...

please don't say a tesla truck

Hope you are feeling better soon, Kay.
For those who bump into things with vehicles, I hear you. I haven't done it recently, but it has happened. Not an uplifting moment.

Good morning! How is everyone? Winter weather, commutes to work, going out for errands, more gatherings with friends, all the other things that have and will come up for chat today, as we gather round the Coffee Cart. The coffee is fresh brewed, the tea water is boiling, and the butter tarts (with or without nuts) are amazing. Come in when you can, join the conversations, offer and receive moral support! All are welcome, all is ready.

Also healing vibes to those dealing with health, or family members dealing with health.

I went to a visitation yesterday ... a send-off for a very sick friend that was previously un di ag nose d ... by the supposed professionals ... slippage?

The stuff mist when you're in it only for the Monet and profit ... Myth? ... always ... existence fails me ... especially the hard handed myth ... stoned by affiliation to power?

Will join in the fun of a Coconut Vanilla Latte and a Lemon Cranberry Butter Tart

Wow I missed a lot yesterday when I was accompanying my husband to the hospital for a bunch of tests then home to struggle over the annual report for the church. Healing thoughts @KayTheCurler. And @BetteTheRed and @chansen, my imagination got a boost with the images you provided.

Was going to say that I never met a butter tart I didn't like. But my daughter's are the absolute best.
Sadly, I get a craving for butter tarts sometimes here in Korea and... have been unable to find them. The closest I've gotten is something called a "butter bar" at Starbucks. It has a little bit of the same taste

Do you have an oven? Can you get premade pastry shells? Butter tarts are actually quite easy to make. Easier than you might think.

The most difficult step is making the pastry and that can be bypassed. The end product is still fantastic.
