I am almost at the end of a truly Energizer Bunny week. Monday morning I collected a turkey from church, took to the big guys, left cooking in oven, returned after working 4 hours to a cooked and cooling turkey, which I delivered to the church. Tuesday afternoon, I peeled boiled and mashed 10 lbs of potatoes, cooling them, then packing in large freezer bags, and made two jellied borscht salads (beets and their juice, horseradish, sweet onion, sour cream, in lemon jello). Today, I baked two pies, one for a dinner party tomorrow, one as pie tax to the big guy, left them for him to take out, went to church for 5 (picking up and delivering a friend to help me), loaded, unloaded and dried dishes for 2 1/2 hrs, delivered leftovers to the big guy, picked up "my" pie. Tomorrow I work 8-1, go get wine for party, do something with the neglected dog in the afternoon, then an early evening with lady friends, a nice restful conclusion to the week (and C's daughter drives us home, so we can drink wine to our hearts' content).

Then I am jobless, except for the mulch pile that will never end (my dog walking friend took a barrow of mulch today, and kindly carefully carved a path down one side so that he and the postal carrier no longer have to walk over mulch to get up my front steps), until next week, and whatever it brings...Nothing dreadful happening until Vacation Bible Camp mid-July.

I need a rest after just reading this, lol!

Oh, and my house. My new goal is simply to take more out than I produce every day, and ultimately that will lead to the end....if I live to be 200 fricking years old.

And there was hilarity even in the construction of jellied salads. Lemon jell-o was hard to acquire (I had bought, in prep for this event, lemon pudding), and I gently bumped the fender of a very angry man whilst exiting the third shop's parking lot, leading to much drama, mainly on his side.

Goode morning! the smell of smoke in the air, the aroma of not-so-fresh fish entrails, those whose energy is abounding, those whose 'get-up-and-go' has, in fact, got up and left, those dealing with health issues and breathing difficulties from smoke, those who need time to re-combobulate, along with all the other stuff that arises, you are invited to bring it to the Coffee Cart. We may not be able to set everything aright, but we can offer support, sympathy and community. C'mon in, everything is ready.

After spending my first Covid day in pjs and between couch and naps and trying to drink as much as possible (even the decision to get up and get a drink requires energy), I felt I had to have a shower today. I barely made it- had to sit down to dry off. Took my O2 level, low 90 ties, but rising with deep breathing, so I am still ok. Later was able to go out to pick some strawberries for breakfast. We are having so much rain that they are starting to rot.

Mrs A - sorry you are feeling poorly. I think we need an emoji that is more obviously a hug!

My sister told me that her secret to breathing after a shower (she had COPD) was just put on a toweling bath robe and have a cup of tea while you dry naturally!
02 in the low 90s isn't too dreadful! Have you tried walking up a flight of stairs and then across the house? I decided 74 wasn't something I wanted to experience again. Most unpleasant for a few moments.

Hugs to @JayneWonders and to @Mrs.Anteater . And to @BetteTheRed --- I feel she's going to crash at some point! My back could not handle all that she is doing, but.... good for you! Husband was afraid of the hernia surgery for a few reasons: He has never had any operation before that required anesthesia. Also, he has the complications of cancer and a catheter. Also, whenever the surgeon or hospital people called him to give him information, they got his name wrong! (Steve is not that challenging a name!) So he wondered about their competency. He is not one to trust easily either... In fact, his hobby is to find fault. But when the hernia became unmanageable (couldn't push it in any more), he realized he would need the surgery. So it was a pretty big deal for him. And, I might add, for me... because I had to deal with his angst and try to get him to calm down. Well, on to recovery, and he is doing fairly well, not requiring as many pain pills as prescribed. Oh... and there were a few glitches in the hospital. He had been told by the urology nurses multiple times that the surgical team would change his catheter at the surgery; once there they said definitely not, so he was wheeled quickly to Urology for a stat catheter change before surgery. Thank goodness hernia surgery is routine because other things don't seem to be!

If things are proven in real life to change ... is shimmery events to be expected as dlens of dispersal nature causing defraction? Thus it comes together somewhere else ... as sum zero or nothing as somesay these brats were conceived from doing nothing initially! Nothing continues ... mostly ... because of the vast satisfaction or 98% to strip the 2% bare of any barking ... basic Lupus? As all other illness ... an affliction of mind, soul, psyche dissonance ... Eris? There is little sophistication on this as exited Sophia ... mythical vapour ... emanated!

One may experience this in drifting off while resting under a shrub ... sluggish ... industrial counter facts ... irrisolvable ... like that brother put down into the shades of the Earth millenia ago ... diaboli Chasm? Abyss ...

Oh dear, it can be so distressing when the medical people can't get their acts together. Recently a doctor told me I would be given meds via IV and a nurse showed up and administered two shots and a pill. Did I get the right stuff? I have no idea. As I was barely functioning I didn't question it. I left with a slightly reduced headache, so good enough I guess!

Good morning! Happy holiday weekend! Effects of Covid and COPD, medical personnel who can't seem to communicate, fear of surgery, all the medical stuff; along with fire and smoke and air quality advisories, could make for an interesting weekend for many people. Let us bring these and other concerns to the Coffee Cart, where support, conversation, and hot beverages await. All is ready, come and join us. (We're bringing out the red china this weekend for Canada Day.)

I was wondering how Red China would help celebrate Canada Day then noticed the lower case letters.

Good morning! Some twit(s) around are already starting to let off fireworks. Heard some in the distance each of the past two evenings. Like, seriously, folks. One night should be enough of that racket.

Terrible headache yesterday. Even got me out of bed in the wee hours for another shot of Acetaminophen. Dozed off in the den and was better when I awoke again so returned to bed and proceeded to sleep in.

Seem fine this morning.

Well, that sucks. Air quality index is up to a 7, or high, here. 0 is best, 10+ is worst. I assume it is smoke again but haven't heard for sure.

Sympathy for the headache. They are a body malfunction that truly suck. Have you tried cold packs to your head? Some people find them helpful.

Yeah, my yard needs a mow but the AQ is supposed to improve overnight and only get up to 3 tomorrow so it can wait.

Some kind of wasps or fake wasps is building in the handle of my BBQ. Anybody recognizing this? How do I get rid of it? Clearly, I will have to put tape over the handle once it’s gone.
