Mrs.Anteater
Just keep going....
It actually is longer than this and slim. It doesn’t really look like it has a stinger, but I could be wrong.

Definitely a wasp but not 100% sure of the species. If it looks like it has a sting, be careful. Unlike bees, wasps keep their stinger and can attack multiple times. Taping over the holes so it can't access the nest might work to drive it off though I am not sure. I have never seen one build a nest that way before but, again, I am unsure of the species. Certainly doesn't seem to be a yellow jacket, which build fairly big, ball-shaped nests. It actually is longer than this and slim. It doesn’t really look like it has a stinger, but I could be wrong.
Never heard of WD40 being good for that, though my son said once they have a grease cleaner spray or so in the shop that works much more effective than the wasp sprays. I decided to wait until the early morning hours. If this were my handle, I'd wait until just before dark, and spray the hell out of it with WD-40. Next day, give it a good splash with soapy water, then tape over the handle.
Argh. 400 is bad enough on a holiday weekend without having a major crash, too.Holy s**t. Accident on 400, when I passed, there were still fire trucks there, traffic down to one lane, on holiday weekend. All this traffic has entered City, and EVERYTHING is all f***ed up.

Good morning! Hope everyone has a good long weekend. At least the smoke seems to have moved on here.
The larva were kind of disgusting, but one has to say, nature is truly smart
