Good morning. We had a windy night. The dog was awake and pacing around 0400 hrs. We have a dangly decoration outside our door that I thought was making noise. I let the dog out to do her business and removed the decoration. Still noise. Turns out the back window was flapping and banging. It is the emergency act and has a different way of opening. The handle had been pulled through to the outside allowing the window to bang around, basically open and close. I removed the screen pulled the handle back through its slot and closed the window. Dog finally settled
 
I got a call from the daughter of my former 92 yr old neighbours that her son got killed in a single vehicle car accident yesterday. My neighbours don’t know yet. She has a weak heart- not sure if she would get a heart attack just hearing the news. The son was not the type to be on drugs or suicidal- he was just going home from work, so maybe a heart attack? The daughter wants to wait with the news until after the autopsy. She can’t wrap her head around it yet. It’s her youngest of three, I think he might have been in his early 30 ties.
I am taking on the weekend visit- pretending to not know, getting groceries tomorrow and hanging out. I think they will hear the news sometimes in the middle of next week. The parents are supposed to go and identify the body on Monday. “ that’s something you read about happening to others“ , she said, “now life is throwing it at us. It isn’t fair.”

It has been raining here a lot, which is lovely, we can use rain, but...i have definitely got the blues

Life contains so many strange things for aliens to observe ... lightly IC! Then the heavy handed folk ... Jan's ... some say Janus ... Ja NU's? Off nous went as we do when abused ... gentility? It is a delicate domain ...

In an emotional, erratic state is that how good sentient goes? Rather manifested ... or incarnate chaos ... go figure!

We slept in our trailer last night with our granddaughter last night. Forest fire smoke rolled in here about 8 am.
 
Hoping Flin Flon's smoke doesn't come our way. So far it is hot and sunny. Thinking of a trip up to Waskesiu tomorrow as hubby needs to deliver some of his awesome woodwork to the art shop there.

Then there is Tuesday more Lei to the first Mon ... ridiculous composure? Hump Dais faces us ... happens when you get into time ... then there are those look at it from out there ... beyond what? We will get over it given our propensity to forget ...

Took our granddaughter back to Verdun yesterday. We got to her home about two minutes before our daughter and her partner arrived back on their bikes from a three day bike trip. Very hot. On the way back to Hawkesbury we decided to try to find a place in Hudson for supper. It was our first visit to Hudson and it took longer than expected to find the actual town center. All the restaurants we found were closed except a bar that did not have anything we wanted to eat. Back to the parking lot to get our car and, on the way our of town found a pub that was open and it had fish and chips. We were the first customers there to sit and eat. Soon there were three other couples and the phone started ringing. A thunderstorm had just knocked out power to almost a third of the residences in the area and it was suppertime. The manager phoned a staff person to come as quick as she could. The place was very busy when we left. The fish and chips were great. We ended up driving through downpours on the way home. No heavy rain at home until an hour or so later.

Some ignore and are de gassed or gestalt ... stoppered! Natural gas studies ... Kohl! I cannot relate more for threats against my soma ... debatable? Further discourse ... lacking the reproductive organ as approximating the great gonad betwixt ears ... hear, hear!

Yesterday we took a drive up to Prince Albert National Park to deliver some of hubby's art to a gift store there. Very pleasant drive , including the part that I slept through). We entered through one end of the park and exited through the other, popping into various lovely lakes along the way.
Just outside the Park there is a community/resort area called Christopher Lake where we found a Canadian/Oriental Cafe with absolutely wonderful food. We will return. I slept all the way home.
 
That area of the country @KayTheCurler is beautiful. I'm glad we were able to visit last year. I wish we could have gone to that park.

I dug out my old Kobo last night and got it set up. I was hoping to be able to use it to borrow library books on occasion. Sadly, it doesn't have the Overdrive software. Ah well, it still gives me access to tons of books so I can use it for bedtime reading, reading outside or waiting room reading etc.
