Lots of fresh snow with a stiff breeze here. Many sections of the snowshoe trails were invisible snow was level with our second step before I shovelled it. At least ten cm so far and about another five hours before it is supposed to quit. Roads are a mess. Our fireplace is fixed. Dead batteries in the receiver for the remote were the issue. Now I know enough to fix it myself in the future.
We got a mix of snow, ice pellets, and probably some freezing rain (based on the snow having a thin skin of ice on top). Made for fun shoveling this morning, esp. since the plow had gone through. Straight snow would have been preferable.

I hope you feel better @JayneWonders

We got the trailer to the destination and are now on our way home from my sister's house. We had a nice meal and I used her laundry facilities. I was especially thankful for that. Sometimes laundromats get old.

I had my sunglasses on today. It was quite delightful. Hubby said more snow is in the forecaat. Killjoy.

Good morning! Happy Wednesday! If your watch is one of those that sows the day of the month, make sure to set it to '1' instead of '29'... anyway, for health concerns and helping friends move, for nice days for a walk, and reminders winter isn't yet done with, for all the other events and concerns and topics, let us gather round the Coffee Cart, for warm friendship, hot beverages and conversations. All is ready.

Said the knitter to her friends, "What shawl we do today?" :ROFLMAO:

(ducks rotten tomatoes)

Good afternoon. My bloodwork this week looked wonderful. Nothing needing action (just talked to my doc this morning). Even my liver enzymes, which were once high enough to merit a referral (turned out I had non-alcoholic fatty liver, which is certainly not unknown among us type 2 diabetics), are well inbounds now. Next up, second shingles vaccine. My boss got kicked hard by his second so I'm a bit nervous, but I also know people who had no issues so who knows where I'll land.

Ugh, so you know how people complain about Amber alerts as they are unnecessary if not in the area or whatever?
How about 7 test alerts in a row, and waiting to see if there's more.

I am quite tolerant of legitimate Amber and emergency alerts. And even tests, as long as they are done reasonably. But seven in a row? Whiskey tango foxtrot? I have never seen Ontario do more than one in a day and that's fairly infrequent. Wonder if there was a glitch in the system or they did it deliberately for some reason.

Pretty sure a glitch. It was about 15 minutes of testing
