Is the world of real filled with consequence, and odd orders of unimpressive knowledge when we note that mortal piousness does not allow for many alien things ... contrary to script asking to entertain strangers as potential angels ...

May scare the crap out of things of edifice ... fixated!

Finally decided to brave the cold for a little while this afternoon to repack the trails. The trail to the bridge wad completely buried under a drift from close to the house to almost halfway to the bridge. Then it became a hard ridge as the winds had removed almost all the unpacked snow on each side of it. That was close to two feet of snow blown away.

We had a Grand Caravan that served us well from when we bought it with about 93,000 km till when we gave it to a charity with about 330,000 km. We gave it away even though it was running well because it had rusted to the point where I needed a C clamp to keep the driver's door closed and the hitch broke off the rear bumper due to rust.

The coldest cold is over, but still - 27 outside. I was lucky only had a flicker once, otherwise kept my power. 9000 Nova Scotians were not so lucky. Hopefully, they had a wood stove. I was thinking of waiting until the rain sets in tomorrow afternoon and not having to shovel the drive, but it is going to be +2 with flurries. At least it will be more pleasant to shovel. Cat and I had a lazy day. Since some of the power outages were caused by overuse of power, I didn’t do laundry or ran the dishwasher, will do that tomorrow.

Now i know why Sophia put us Canadians in such a bloody cold country

Otherwise we would with our Passions Control the World!!!

Forcing Ice Hockey
Poutine
And Jacque Shellack on Everyone
Terrible (but polite) would be our reign

@ninj would be the World Empress whose Edicts would be EEEVIIILLLL.

It's not cold here spent the day at the community lake. Tried out the snowshoes thry had on offer. I should have quit 10 or 15 minutes earlier, fatigue was getting to me and I started crossing the back of my shoes on the way back. Falling on a frozen lake isn't much fun. Bruised knee, hip is sore but unsure if it's the fall or if it would have felt like that just from snowshoeing no real damage.

It was a really nice day to be out. There were cleared rinks near the front plus some personal ones but the loop wasn't done recently so other than some ice fishing by people with private/semi-private access the majority of the lake was empty. Didn't see any other snowshoe tracks which surprised me. I was wondering if there would be a wait considering weekend plus nice weather. Rinks were busy as was the ice fishing closest to the main entrance.
We saw lots of hare and coyote tracks, something else too that we couldn't ID.

Will try it again hopefully I can find a weekday partner. Would prefer to not be out alone although help wouldn't be too hard to summon in an emergency.

Good morning! As the winter weather and winter activities (packing trails, snowshoeing, et al) as we find relations we didn't know about, as we celebrate those who win lotteries, let us gather round the Coffee Cart, for conversation, support, and friendship. All is ready.

Good Morning. Our brief cold snap is over and temps are climbing. This afternoon will be 27 degrees warmer than the same time yesterday!
@ChemGal Last weekend the Botanical Garden here had free snowshoe rentals and I would have gone if anyone else was interested. Nope. I like winter better when I'm enjoying the outdoors.
Enjoy your Sunday all.

About 15 degrees warmer here than at the same time yesterday and fine snow falling. About -14 here.

Good morning! Looks like the cold snap is on the way out, for now. As we continue to discuss weather, and all the other stuff that comes to mind, let us gather round the Coffee Cart, All is ready, come on in.

Mine (d) ... what a concept of such a compartmentalized confinement of intelligence behind baffling separations ... a great void to those that refuse to get it together! So much for lumps and (g)umps in the irrational side ... and there the lights went on ... out there huh? Such is sometimes know as diffusion other times divine rest ... so it goes!

Diffusion is sometimes utilized in stellar spectrology! It spreads ... leaving those at the core ... baffled!

Bridge to know where?

Offering up good vibes for the people of Turkey and Syria. Two earthquakes in succession, one a 7.8, the other was indeterminate last I saw but sounded like it might be in a similar range. 1300 dead as of when I got up.

All's quiet here, though. Pick up the new car after work assuming all goes well. Christen the sound system by blasting some metal (hey, Mrs. M has to drive down in the existing car so won't be there to complain ).

Devastating earthquakes. Must be horrendous to live through such an event. We had a very mild tremour here this morning - what I noticed was a rattling of some sliding closet doors, but that was all.

Enjoy your new vehicle @Mendalla.

I rec'd a photo today of my friend who is in hospital for cancer treatment. She just shaved her head a couple of days ago, as her hair loss was so patchy. What an extraordinary difference this makes to her appearance. It's an interesting thing to contemplate.

Saw that in a news source. We once had one when I was in Hamilton. I was on the ground in a moving car so felt nothing but Mrs. M was meeting someone in an apartment and they felt it.
